No,the owner was not there. My daughter said that the people have 3 dogs and she never walks the puppy past that house because the dogs bark very loud.Yesterday the dogs ran around the corner.

Neighbors reacted to my daughters screams .

It is horrible that people are not able to manage their pets properly.     Happens no matter where you live.

Sorry but I don't know them.    Yes, it has been great been here.      After my morning ride I worked online for a couple of hours assisting with some mortgage apps that came in for review/approval then I went back to the beach for 2 hours.     back on the deck for happy hour and a little work.    Everyone gets approved for their mortgage when it's Happy Hour!

It's going to be tough when we go back to our primary res end of June.

I recall mentioning to you my friends that had a poster store on LBI.

We met a couple on a cruise in 2011 and went on a few cruises with them afterward. There primary residence is in Flemington,NJ but they also have a residence on LBI.She posts on CC,primarily on boards discussing cruises that they will be going on but she occasionally will post to me on the RCI board. They are originally from PA.

What does that test cost in your area? How long for results?

Here in CT, it is free at Walgreens. We have a friend in Tennessee that just did hers on Monday at no charge also. Results in 24 - 72 hours. So far, I've seen it running in the 24 - 48 hour range.

Eric has learned over the last 3 years since receiving his transplant that many nurses and doctors outside of the transplant team are not familiar with the meds/foods, etc. that a transplant has to have and/or avoid.    But every nurse should know that grapefruit counteracts with a lot of meds.

I learned many years ago you need to be your own health advocate.  My mom, a diabetic, was in the hospital.  Her meds ran out over night and the nurse didn't want to bother the doctor so switched out her IV to sugar water to allow IV to stay in.  My mom argued but nurse overrode her.  She was almost in a diabetic coma by morning.  Just one of the many blunders that hospital stay.

Have you tried duct tape?  If it can't be fixed with WD40 or duct tape, it can't be fixed.

I came home from grocery shopping when our daughter has about a year old to find doctors tape wrapped around her diaper.  Hubby said she kept trying to take it off and since duct tape fixes everything.  . .

Was away a week ago and got behind on this thread, still trying to catch up!

Yesterday was not a good day here.My daughter who lives very close to me came home from work early and decided to take her family puppy out for a walk.A few minutes into the walk 2 large dogs were running toward her and attacked the puppy.

It seemed to her like forever before she could grab her dog.She was screaming and the puppy was making noises that she never heard before.Neighbors came out and got the dogs away from her.She took her puppy in the house and then she and her husband brought the puppy to an Animal ER.They were there nearly 4 hours. The puppy is okay .My daughter is emotionally drained. She called my wife very early this morning to tell us .

Very scary, glad they’re both okay.

Your very good looking private chef is grilling burgers?

Lobster Dinner?

What a terrifying experience but I'm glad they are ok. Before we got our puppy I researched doggy daycare so he would have socialization. I met with the owner, the trainers and the day care attendants while also observing for weeks. It was easier to send my kids to school. I watched ,from behind the glass, as my 4 month old, 40 pound puppy was attacked by a 200 pound Mastiff. The attendant was able to rescue him while I watched in horror. The Mastiff bit his leg so hard that it broke the bone in half.

😢

My birthday is in July and yesterday I got mail from the casino near Aqueduct offering me $5 as an incentive to go there.

Prior to the pandemic they gave $10 and a pastry.

$5 whole bucks!!!!!😉

 Happy Birthday!

We were given adjacent units, so when the grandkids woke up at 6AM, they parents sent them knocking on our doors without worries....

I am very impressed by the pastoral setting. We were on the 3rd row from the Sea of Galilee/pool. The units closer to the water were even more expensive than ours...

Our in-laws wanted to book same resort for next year, were quoted 620$ for the forth and last row, and arrived at our conclusion -- a cruise will be much cheaper and rewarding.....

First rows to the pool and to the Sea of Galilee

Ours was 117, in-laws 116 and DS2 - 115

What a great low-cal selection................I wish that I was there with you. It was awhile ago but at the Cheesecake Factory I ordered the "artery clogger burger" - large burger, topped with macaroni & cheese, bacon, fried egg................OMG!!!!!

I always put in an extra sweet n low packet in my coffee so it evens out.😇

Lobster, lobster, lobster.
I had Florida grown steamed clams yesterday in Crescent Beach and pretended I was in Boothbay Harbor.
OK, but not Maine steamers.
Also had huge fresh Mayport shrimp to make up for not being up there.

The Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) is our only source of sweet water.

Luckily, we had plenty of rain for the last 2 years and the lake was replenished to the point where opening the Degania dam was considered.

Pity it was so hot -- almost exhausting.

It looks wonderful! I love a beach/pool resort but would always prefer a cruise.

Oh how interesting Dani. :classic_biggrin: It is not a sea, it is a lake. All this time from the biblical references, I had <assumed> it was a saltwater sea. Definitely my "I learned one new thing today" moment. Thanks. :classic_biggrin:

Too hot is not fun, unless you have somewhere to cool off. It looks like a lovely resort. :classic_biggrin:

Nobody has posted any "What's for Dinner" pictures lately and I am really running out of ideas.

What’s for dinner tonight?  So I looked at my Fitbit and it said I had 1.4 pounds to gain!  Challenge accepted.  What better than a giant feast at Benihana.

I am still getting use to these QR codes instead of menus.

Quick, let me start with a big beer and a daiquiri for my wife.

The chef started right out with the volcano.

Then cooking up some fried rice and vegetables.

Shrimp, lobster, scallops, and who the **** orders tofu here?
