Ten days until we board the Celebrity Edge - got our shareholders credit confirmations yesterday (good sign) - the only open questions are the Bahamas Health Visa (required) and on the day before sailing we have to complete a Celebrity Health Questionnaire on line. Passports and vaccine records are ready and have our Xpress passes printed...........and a boarding time slot between 12:30 - 1:00PM.

Bahamas Health Visa?.....do you require it for a port day or if you are staying?
I had better read up all the paperwork☹️ Dont want to start a Denied Boarding because of no Bahamas visa thread 🤣.🤣

Haven't received e docs yet (for 7/17)......impatiently waiting
Passports and vaccine cards are ready and Xpress passes printed and on app....check

Boarding time slot between 1:00 - 1:30PM....check.
Luggage tags....still greyed out.

Please refrain from getting killed......I haven't seen you in a long time and am looking forward to seeing you soon on board Anthem or Oasis or Whatever Sails of the Seas.

Yes, we are booked in one in Evansville Indiana in a few weeks, when we go to pick up the new puppy.  Newer ones are not bad.  Some of the older ones can be a bit rough.  I remember a bad one on the other side of Nashville.  It wasn’t horrible, but I would avoid it.  When we did the Gauley river rafting back in 2014, there was really nice new LQ with an Applebees next door.  We did both for two nights.  Not a lot of restaurant options in hinterland WV.

We are sailing 7/3 and still waiting for Xpress pass and luggage tags but we only booked this a couple of days ago, waiting for celebrity to call back .

The two brands I find to be the best for pet travel is Drury Inn then LQ.  LQ is far more common.

OWD, was at the Ritz in 2017 when we attended the Tour Championship in Atlanta (Buckhead).  We parked the car, in the underground garage (truck) and had all of his stuff plus our stuff (IE a pin), and we were struggling to figure out how to go from there to the lobby.  A bellman saw us helped us with our stuff and took us thru the kitchen to get to the check-in.  White Dog was a hit.  They charge a lot for the dog there per night!🤣😱.

My wife had 4 siblings, so her spot in the car was the shelf behind the rear seat.

There were always a couple of kids whose parents didn’t come to swim meets. I’d add them to the crowd in my car and there would be two crammed onto the shelf.
My car has to have looked like a clown car.
Early 70’s, and nobody raised an eyebrow.

It's required to enter the Bahamas. Can't be filled out until 2 weeks before arrival.

$40.00 application fee.

  • Celebrity hasn't officially said that we need the BHV - we cruise in 10 days - something better give and communicate quickly!!!!

That seems very odd. My understanding is that BHV is required. I would make a call as that's something you don't want to miss with 10 days out. You would think Celebrity would communicate better.

Personally, I would make a phone call to Celebrity, (or your TA if that's who you booked through). The last thing you need is to get screwed because somebody "dropped the ball" this close to your cruise.

I have called Celebrity, my TA and the Captains Club - the answer is the same - right now there is nothing on the Celebrity website - no notations for the requirement - Celebrity will let you know in advance if required.

I just got off the line with Celebrity and the agent said NO requirement for cruise ship passengers in Nassau - that there will be "free flow" for vaccinated passengers leaving the ship to tour on their own.

So - everyone can make up their own mind............buy a Health Visa or not...........our choice right now not unless we get notified by "X".

Yesterday was not a good day here.My daughter who lives very close to me came home from work early and decided to take her family puppy out for a walk.A few minutes into the walk 2 large dogs were running toward her and attacked the puppy.

It seemed to her like forever before she could grab her dog.She was screaming and the puppy was making noises that she never heard before.Neighbors came out and got the dogs away from her.She took her puppy in the house and then she and her husband brought the puppy to an Animal ER.They were there nearly 4 hours. The puppy is okay .My daughter is emotionally drained. She called my wife very early this morning to tell us .

We usually rent a house near Ft. Lauderdale every winter, and have our family join us.  A couple years ago, we were in Hollywood, and picked a restaurant a couple miles from the house.  We crammed 11 of us into my 7 passenger SUV.  We did look like a clown car when we pulled up to the valet parking, and everyone got out.

This is a tough time to buy a home / condo. We had two go up for sale.........one sold in 4 hours the other in 3 days.............and the prices would scare you!!!!! Happy cabin shopping - don't feed the gnats!!!!!

We are actually really enjoying just renting these homes, and in fact just rented this place we are at for the same time again next year.  At our "advancing age"....perhaps just easier to let the rental owners take care of everything...kind of like cruising.  We don't own the cabin...just rent it.  😄

The most dangerous of all sleds.  Very little control over where the saucer is going and no control over which direction it's facing.  Unless you're being towed by a pickup, which would make it the safer way to ride in a saucer??? 🤔

Horribly dangerous...and at that time...the "helicopter parents"...were non exist.   It was still damn fun...we spent the whole time laughing our little butts off.  😄

Isn't Celebrity sailing out of St Martin?  Nothing to do with Bahamas.
