sorry everyone, I’m definitely behind in reading posts. are @John&LaLa and @ReneeFLLon a cruise?!

we have our own balcony off the master bedroom and it faces the marina. I didn’t get to go out there because they had it covered in case of storms while they’re (our tenants) in the dominican republic. I definitely agree about the nail holes. We haven’t hung anything besides the tvs at our rental in CO either.

here’s our balcony off the master suite…the master suite is the entire 3rd floor37B7AA4A-657F-4F2B-A1CB-89878E567760.thumb.jpeg.0585afa7a73b3a612b2ccd569167865e.jpeg

Wow.

We have been to church this morning.

It is Pauline's late dad's 13th memory tomorrow and our Reverend mentioned Roy again in morning prayers.

It was raining and 54°F at the beach afterwards but now it has brightened up and is 60°F.

The sea looks very calm now.

I hope everyone has a nice day.

Graham.

Got lucky and snagged a signal on my phone to connect to wifi...but not sure how long it will last.

Wanted to let everyone know I am still alive and kicking and not eaten by wolves.  😄

Typical lake woods cabin complete with "pea shooter" over fireplace.  Mr. Moose greeted us on arrival. Bird feeders went up right away (but only getting Hummingbirds right now).   Lake is steps from cabin.  Big four poster cedar log bed has nice view.

Pat, glad you're back with wifi 😉

How is the new abode?

Not the most modern or super clean house, unlike the rest of the places we have been to (which very clean and move in ready)...had to do some major cleaning and organizing when we got here...quite an array of cluster mess. 😮   But this cabin was built in the 50s I think, showing years of use and some neglect of being a rental and seasonal cottage. But,  Bucky loves puttering, cleaning, organizing and fixing things anyway.  Keeps him from getting bored.  😉   Took me awhile to organize the kitchen and find actual matching dishware, plus pots and pans I could be comfortable using.  😄

Had a nice morning paddle yesterday in the kayaks provided here, won't use the boat and motor.  (she charges way too much for the nasty thing).   Very, very quiet here down a mile long 2 track.

Losing signal already.  Next place in just over 3 weeks will be much more "user friendly".   Will give more updates then.

Take care everyone, and be safe!   I am looking for bears right now.  😮😉

Thanks for checking in.

Looks lovely,  do you have use of the boat?

Edit to say that your next post says you're not using the boat

Great views though

Nice.  Great view.  I'd be spending a LOT of time on that balcony.  Remind me...what town did you end up choosing?  Distance to the beach?  Distance to the nearest cruise port? 😄

New Port Richey, FL, just north west of Tampa. The Tampa port is 20 miles away 🙂

funny you ask about the beach…we went and saw the private beach we pay for in our HOA

its one mile from our house and has 20 cabanas090DE92C-6759-42F2-B934-C6D32647C457.thumb.jpeg.8fb86b2f5ac506ebb27e171d2371197b.jpeg

My husband grew up in New Port Richey.

We are back from our first post pandemic cruise on the Edge.

Will update but have a lot of reading to catch up on first. It was a fantastic cruise.

I was planning to check in while on the cruise but did not have a chance to because:

1. Was enjoying so much that I kept saing “will do later....” and never got around to it.

2. DH said that the internet speed sucked and there was some outage for a couple of days....so did not try.

So much speculation and many made up stories aka pot stirring on CC about protocols......things were different on board.  I will elborate later.

They charge extra to use the boat?   Looks like nice area and great place to kayak.  Enjoy!

Speaking of rentals, I had a phone call from my tenant at our shore house.  Called in a panic because she couldn't find the can opener.  I told her to look in various kitchen drawers as there was definitely was one there, I bought a new one in June.

Called back was very rude cursing at me.   I called my neighbor who took her one.   But Wow!  What a meltdown she had over a can opener.   Neighbor said she was a total b*****

Not renting to her again!
