Not as exciting day today, after the last few days.  Had to hang around home this morning, as the electrician came to swap out the service panel and get ready to run a cutoff switch to be ready for the new spa when it arrives.

Took our grandson for a nature hike this afternoon, and managed to log 11 miles for the day.

We did find a family of new ducks.

A few turtles.

And, a couple dragon flies.  ( for some reason, I really liked this picture)

He did manage to keep up with us.

Finished the day with a nice meal at BJ’s. (It was gone before I got pictures)

Spending quality time with your grandson showing him nature's best and BJs dinner.  Perfection!

I wish I had my real camera today. The sunset tonight coming home from soccer was on point. IPhone just couldn’t handle it. Please accept these poor photo candidates that I present to you.

Fantastic pictures, especially the bottom one. I’m doing a screen shot and sharing it with friends if that’s ok!

I’m wondering if your grandson’s teacher will ask him what he did this summer.
I don’t know any child including my own that had such a wonderful summer vacation.

no 🙂 the furniture is our tenant’s, but very similar style to ours minus the white couch which would never hold up for us

built in 2019 🙂 we have renters in it until we move here

That makes sense.  Thanks for the clarification.

My oldest daughter played soccer when she was young.  Most of the girls on the field preferred watching the birds to watching the ball.  I remember watching one girl stop while playing and wave to her parents on the sideline.  Her father yelled for her to turn around because the ball was behind her and turned his finger in a circle in case she didn't hear him.  She obediently did a 360 degree turn and continued to look at her parents, almost as if to say, "what now?"  I would hope at Owen's age that they'd be beyond that.

We were just two weeks ago laughing about one of our granddaughters who would never have gotten a sports scholarship.
She was on a soccer team at about age 8, and would run up and down the field, keeping up with the ball. She never took her eyes off the ball, because she wanted to make sure she was always at least 5 feet from it.
When she played T-ball, I asked her her favorite part of the game. She said Dugout, because she could sit and talk.
She’s now a special Ed teacher and plays outdoor games with her students.

It's a mess and very time consuming but I think since we discovered it pretty quick we were able to put a stop to it.

They were signing up for various online accounts, buying i-phones, samsung appliances, tvs, the last one was they tried to get a personal loan thru webbank, etc etc

I cannot imagine going thru identity theft twice.

The first time was many years ago .I was posting on a message board.Somebody stole my identity as well as other people’s and committed crimes. It took 6 months till the guy was caught and arrested.

The second time my wife and I returned from a cruise and went to get our mail from the post office. One of the pieces of mail was a bank statement showing an account opened up in my name and another person, nobody who I ever heard of .I went to the bank and the bank officer tried to talk me out of going to the police.I ignored her and went .I found out that several employees of the bank branch were under investigation .The bank officer who I spoke with resigned the next day and several tellers disappeared.

One of my neighbors was also a victim as well .This took more than a year to be resolved.

The few times I've seen my Doctor's PA I found her to be compassionate, took the time to listen and talk to me and her advice was spot on.  Like  most, however, I still prefer an MD. Years ago medical offices only had MDs.  Now it seems they all have NPs and PAs.

Cute story: My father was in Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC for surgery.  Surgeon came to talk to my mom and me after surgery.  My mom said "I remember when you were just a little boy running in and out of your father's office (He was a Doctor) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  .  Surgeon asked how my mother knew who he was.  She said "You have the same last name and you look exactly like your father".  His father was our family doctor for years in Brooklyn.  Small world, yes?

Something similiar.A friend of mine who grew up in Brooklyn was living in a suburb of Houston .He went to a doctor for the first time and was in the office where the doctor had various diplomas on the wall. One was from a medical school in NYC.My friend remarked to the doctor that he grew up in Brooklyn .Both he and the doctor lived on the same street .

I cannot but comment on both the highs and lows on this thread the last 24 hours.

From the excitement of seeing the new house being constructed, anniversary celebrations, as well as great hiking get-a-ways,  to the other end of the spectrum, health issues  to having family member being place in Hospice, to ineffective team players.

Is it a full moon?

Being a nurse I believed the theory to be careful and get a lot of sleep before working on a full moon.

Because it usually would be a bad day/night.

But it has to bet better for those that struggled today.

Hopefully as the next few days come into play, everyday will show better outcomes for those who had challenging days and for those who had great days, keep the trend going.

Rest, stay calm, and just know we are all here to hear what you share.

Take care.

And as Annie would say   (don't even ask ------- Annie who!)

"The sun will come out tomorrow".

Sue

Interesting,Mrs.66,an RN for 37 years never heard that before. We learn new things every day😀
