How Many FCCs and How Many Booked Cruises Do You Have?

I have been issued 7 COVID-19 related FCC's for cruise fare and 1 COVID-19 related FCC for cruise planner purchases. I have applied 2 of those FCCs to one future booking (12/7/2020 on Anthem) and 1 of the FCCs to a second future booking (1/4/2021 on Anthem). One of the 2 applied to the 12/7/2020 sailing has a balance of $14.50 that will be reissued 3 weeks after the sail date (I didn't consider the deposit amount didn't fully cover the tax when calculating the total that could come from FCC's vs taxes/fees).

I track all this on a spreadsheet now, especially the various separate refund-to-form-of-payment items like taxes/fees to make sure they do eventually show up.

I really don't expect either of those next 2 booked sailings to go, though if they do I will be there. My next booked cruises aren't until 10/2021, as I decided not to book anything else at this point until some ship somewhere actually started sailing or something became more reliably definite.

Hope to see you on 12.7 sailing.  Love that itinerary!

3 refunded, 2 FCC, 2 booked in Jan.

None after that.

I had 'penciled- in' (no deposits, thankfully)

to personally cruise many times in 2020/2021

and finally reach double pinnacle a year from today,

but obviously all that is on hold pending vaccine and

return to the 'good ol' days', which won't  happen soon,

if ever, lol.

We currently have 1 that needs to be used buy December 2021. We cancelled the cruise (which ended up being cancelled anyway) but had to take that FCC because we were in a suite.

We have another cruise (in a suite) booked for March 2021 that we are iffy on. If we cancel that we will have another $1000 FCC that we need to use.

My question is, what if I apply my current FCC to my March cruise and then cancel? Will my exp. dates be different giving me more time to use them?

There is no way we will be taking 2 cruises by December of 2021 and I don't want to lose $2000.00.

Going forward I will most likely not be cruising with RCL as we only sail suites (that is what works best for us) and I hate that there is no refundable deposit option.

Typically, you get one year from the date of cancellation for an FCC - with CWC, you can cancel up till 3 days out.

Right, so if I apply my FCC that expires in Dec. 2021 to my March of 2021 cruise and then cancel.....then I should get 2 FCC's that both have an exp. date of March 2022, correct? Or does the one that originally had an exp. date of Dec. 2021 still have that exp. date.

Does that make sense? I am confusing myself just by asking. And no clue if we will even be able to use both with a March 2022 exp. date either. I really wish I could just get my money back.

Maybe and you'd have to wait till March 2021 to cancel, meaning you'd have to make final payment.

Unfortunately I think you are right. But the final deposit is $10,000 so I am not really wanting to shell out that kind of cash and then hope I get it back in a timely manner.

I checked to try and book a cruise the week between Christmas and New Years to use my FCC from my August cruise. For the same type of room we had booked (2 bedroom Aqua Suite) they wanted. $52,000. You read that correct. And that was with a $23,000 discount! Ummmm no. Not gonna happen.

We have already applied all our FCC's to future cruises. Currently we have 4 booked. I was feeling pretty confident about 3 of the 4 sailing, but with NCL cancelling Star through March 2021, I am no longer as confident on our July 2021 cruise. If we have any more affected by cancellations, I am not sure if we will rebook again before the cruise lines get back up and running. But, then again, I like having something booked to look forward to, even when I know there are no guarantees we will be able to sail as booked.

What others have done in such a situation is to downgrade to the cheapest cabin available before final payment.

We had 6 2020 cruises cancelled so far.  Each of them had full refunds so no FCC.  We currently have 6 RCL cruises booked and 1 Hal booking between Dec 2020 and Aug 2021.  I expect that if Royal opens up in December, it will not likely be our 12 day cruise out of New Jersey.

Only one booked cruise (June) that we applied a FCC from a cruise we were supposed to be on right now.

I'm nto booking any other cruises until things have settled. We are currently making a back up land vacation plan for June (probably 2-3 options and will decide in March when final payment is due) and we have 2 short land vacation planned (one this winter and one in the spring). We are just keeping things pretty flexible at this point.

Final cruise in November was just cancelled. That makes 4 cancelled in 2020.  Took all in FFC.

Have Adventure booked for Feb. 2021, Liberty April 2021, Ovation August 2021.

Let's hope 2021 is a better year.

RCCL: 1 cancelled and rebooked for February 2021 in June. Just had November cancelled but looking at options.

CARNIVAL: 7 cancelled (2 ships sold). 2 were b2b. Currently have September 2021 b2b on the vista.

We are probably going with lift and shift to freedom next December or Alaska as we have never been there. We have a couple of land trips planned to Montana and grand canyon in 2021.

2 RCCL cruises:

April comp casino

July Annual Casino

I won't tie any more dollars up in cruises

Sept with NCL

Cancelled Celeb Apex for Feb, if it sails I won't have my kids wear a mask onboard. Will cancel April/July if mask is required on a pool deck.

Hoping all is normal in Sept.

We've had 8 cruises cancelled which includes 2 NAV Nov cruises, which just cancelled yesterday.

Most have been cash refunds; we had 4 FCC's, 2 of which have been placed and 2 which will be placed for our March 2021 Allure cruise.  The 2 that have been placed may find their way back to us as they are on a 6 Dec 2020 Oasis cruise which seems to be in jeopardy of being cancelled.

We have 20 more cruises booked between December 2020 and April 2022.  All in suites.

6 casino comp upgrades - paid in full

1 L&S - paid in full (Empress to Symphony)

3 L&S - deposit only (1 Empress to Symphony, 2 Empress to Allure)

10 full fare - deposit only

9 FCCs with none used yet and 20 booked cruises through March of 2022.  All 7+ day cruises.

i will not place the FCCs until Cruising starts back up and may decide on the refunds instead.

Most likely will have 2 more FCCs for December cruises.

Thanks.  I should have added....the first L&S (the one that's PIF) is the week before Thanksgiving.  The other one for Symphony is for Thanksgiving week and the 2 for Allure are Christmas and NY.  The prices on those L&S were even better deals than casino comps that I've had in the past.  All holiday weeks, except for 1.  The casino doesn't offer comp cruises on holiday cruises so they were excellent "scores".  One of the Allure shifts was into Star Class so I was triple happy about that one !

We have 5 cruises booked that were all booked prior to this pandemic. So far we have had 5 cruises cancelled. We requested a refund for every cancelled cruise and have received full refunds for every cancelled cruise with the exception of the cruise we were supposed to go on this weekend.

Imo the cruises for december that have very high prices are the ones that will be cancelled and they increased the prices to a ridiculous amount so noone else would book them and try to l&s shift them.  I have watched prices for my december cruise and it tripled in price since this summer.

Imo they will start with 3 and 4 night sailings on navigator and mariner in december.
