I've read some older posts about these coupon books. Can someone share current info about what they contain? DH & I will each get one, I believe as a gift from our cvp on our next cruise. Thanks for any info. 😊

My kids got one on our cruise last week.  It was so garbage they used nothing.
It was a coupon book designed to get you to buy something you didn't want or need by saving you a very minimal few dollars.

It also was sent by email,  so would need to print ahead, or make sure to have good internet before trying to use.

The only coupon of value recently has been the bottle of wine when dining in a specialty recent on the first night.   Dined at Sabatinis and received a very nice Chianti Classico Reserva.   On the next cruise at Crown Grill we had a nice Pinot noir, the highlight of the meal, food was just okay after sending 3 items back.

The coupon book is in digital format now, and it's supposed to be emailed to you before you board.

We didn't get ours, so a visit to guest services solved that, and they emailed the books to us.

The only coupon we used was for a free bottle of "the wine of the day" for specialty dining on day 1.

Sadly, the wine they gave us was syrupy sweet from Australia, so we barely touched it.

That sounds like the "junk" coupon book that we use for keeping tables from wobbling. The one with a few good coupons (2fer specialty dining, free large bottle of water) are sent by TAs.

Unfortunately, those days are over. The book you refer to was the same one we had received for a number of years from our TA. For us, the only usable perqs from that book were the BOGO Specialty Dinner and a bottle of water. The booklet we received on our last trip, on the Sky a few weeks  does away with the BOGO dinner and replaces it with a bottle of wine "du jour" which turned out to be an OK bottle of plonk, and you don't get to choose it. Not really useful since we always have the booze package and the wine wasn't any better than what we could get by the glass.

We were on the Majestic Oct.-Nov. 2021 and had a coupon book through our big box TA.  I used the 10% of shore excursions booked on day one or two.  Must book two excursions but we were planning on doing that anyway.  We waited until we got on board because we wanted to book shore Excursions with OBC.  Saved $10.

I got a free EffY anchor necklace that I gave my granddaughter, No purchase required.  We used $10 free slot play in casino.  We could should have used the wine coupon in the Crown Grill but had Princess Plus so did not.  I am not a shopper and a lot of the offers were tied to buying something.  I think they might have had value if you were planning to buy something on board anyway.  I would have liked the buy 1 get 1 specialty dining but it was not there anymore.  I do gamble so the free play was a good one for me.  Just wanted to give some positive feed back.  It is free after all so I checked it out.

Oh darn!  I was hoping the B1G1 specialty dining would still be a thing.

Oh boy a bottle of wine, when most of us have princess plus.  Sarcasm font.

We don't have PLUS, but a bottle of plonk is about as useful to me as a snow shovel in July.

I'm curious - can any TA's here comment on how much this costs them to gift it to us?   Cause now it sounds like they should keep the commission!

I'm not a TA, but it costs the TA $0 as it is really a promotion by Princess and allowed to be offered by TAs several times a year.

No, but imagine if you really had your heart set on that super duper 5% off at the photo studio, and the internet on the ship was down because Pirates attacked and took that tower down.

I wonder if anyone noticed how busy the specialty restaurants are since they eliminated the BOGO coupon?

On the Sky a few weeks ago, we dropped by the PSD at embarkation to make sure they "had it in the system", which they did. The rep at the counter even volunteered to print it out for us. We used the coupon for the free bottle of wine the first night in Sabatini's but the staff knew nothing about the free bottle. I showed them the printed page, and they went off and found a bottle.  Still, I suspect it would not be absolutely necessary to have a printed copy

If you receive it via email, download it to your device and save it offline.  Different devices use different terminology - iphone you could save to Files or Notes for example.

No need for wifi.  You open the file on your device and present the screen.

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like it's nothing to get excited about. Lol.

Right, nothing to get excited about. We have been on 20 Princess cruises and never bought anything using the coupon book.

Didn't walk by the Crown Grill on the first night of our cruise (Enchanted 12/10) but when we ate there it got busy after 6pm.
