Good morning everyone I hope you are all ok today:classic_smile:

I'm just catching up on the posts from yesterday and was shocked to read about

Andy's Michelle and hope she feels a lot better today bless her.

Graham's eye op was a success and now could have the other one done is good news

as well. As for my appointment yesterday, the good news is they managed to do all

the  procedures I went to have done but not without issue. Step one of the plan was to

do a "Stress test" on the heart, this is where they put a drug into you that expands

everything in your blood vessels etc so when they put a dye into you they can see what's

working and what isn't ,when they put me through the MRI  Scanner .They explain to you

that you will get a shortness of breath amongst other things for a minute but it will soon

pass. For me it did not go to plan I got the feeling they explained but also with my heart

rate allover the shop ,one second in the twenty's the next into the hundreds ,with the

hearts conductivity dropping . I was not in a good state but they sent for a cardio

specialist who came and pumped two more drugs into me which stabilised things.

The scan went ahead as I said I will be ok and afterwards the same doctor came and

checked me over and put me back on the heart monitor for a while. They pondered if

🎶 Should I stay or should I go  :classic_unsure: 🎶  but let me go home. I was in bed for 7pm as I

felt exhausted and drained and the good news is I had the loveable nurse Mrs Kalos

to look after me :classic_love: Today will be a very steady day for me ..onwards and upwards.

You all take care and remember to stay safe guys :classic_love:

Sorry to hear you had a tough day yesterday Kalos but fortunately all the scheduled procedures were done.

It sounded a bit scary and I hope you are a lot better today.

I have been out doing sales calls since 8am but finished now.

There has been some heavy downpours of rain but fortunately I was driving and not outside during the rain.

I hope Michelle is a lot better now Andy.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Graham.

Having read the above Where to Post message I will no longer be contributing to this forum has I have never cruised with P and O and probably never will.

It has been interesting reading about you nice people and thanks to you all for your kindness over the last few months.

Thank you for all your kind sentiments guys:classic_love: It really took it out of me yesterday

but enough about me I just need to rest, I will get there .

Any update from @AndyMichelle ? I hope Michelle has made a good recovery ?

I hope you are getting lots of TLC today Kalos after the stress of yesterday day. I’m sure Mrs K is taking very good care of you tho.

Enjoy and relax in the sunshine when it eventually arrives.

We are just down the road from you, although outside the area. As you say rural areas are being tagged, when we all know it is the populated areas like Dewsbury where there are problems, and we all know why.

Exactly the same here in East Lancashire. I live between Burnley & Blackburn, 2 areas of concern with the Indian variant. Everybody knows why but of course we are not allowed to say....

We live in Lytham St Annes and get weekend visitors from the above areas. We rarely go into town on a weekend, it’s too busy.

My son lives in Kirkburton(Kirklees area) which is an area of concern but he lives in a very rural area but it is all clumped together.

A concern for all but let’s hope we can get through it ok

Well I certainly hope you’re feeling better today Kalos and I certainly Hope Andys Michelle is a lot better today , I’m sure you both got very good attention from Mrs Kalos and Andy with Michelle.

well I was supposed to have a day off today being that I’m a another year older 🥴 and have some me time relaxing in the hot tub with a bottle of bubbly and cheese sticks !! I know crumbs in the hot tub but I can assure you there is no crumbs the way I eat it 😂, anyway long story short is mother-in-law decided she was going to be ill today and I had to call the doctor out and get medication etc , 1/2of the day gone for what wasn’t important situation again ,  it’s very hard when they have dementia when to make the right calls to the doctor, but as the doctor knows when she is playing me up she does for attention, I’m sure he’s given her some smarties just to please  her and give me a rest , it’s been a long 5 weeks with cooking around there’s 3 times a day but hopefully when dad gets his plaster off and a braise put on he’ll be back to cooking again 🙏 anyway I did eventually get in the hot tub with my bubbly and made it before the rain comes on  anyway rant over 😤😤

Unfortunately some folk Live in denial. I check the figure for our local area pretty much every day. I said some time ago, we won't be going to Bolton for our holiday. If Folk from those areas didn't know, it's not anyone's fault but their own.

A bit harsh Zap, I dont routinely check govt websites, life is just too short to waste on checking the endless pages before you find a nugget of useful info. If the BBC cant be arsed to highlight it on the news, then I assume its not worth me bothering.

I don't check every borough in every area but do keep an eye on our local area. We live in leafy Surrey, but we know areas within areas where the numbers tend to be higher, so don't go there. I am surprised that local leaders didn't say, watch out folks our infection rate is about 20 times the UK's. Something we are not doing that we should be🤔

It appears that journalists weren't briefed.

The government's website was updated on Friday, and quite literally no one, not local government, not the media, not local politicians were informed.

The new guidance was highlighted on social media last night, and the BBC is now reporting on it.

Not sure you can blame the BBC or all the other media outlets for the lack of information flowing from those in charge.

I hope you're feeling a little more yourself now, and being a good patient for Nurse Kalos. I don't know kalos, the things you'll get up to just for a little special pampering.😉

Do you know the results of your MRI or have you to wait?

Take care and take it 🎶Easy like a Sunday morning😊🎶

I keep an eye on my local boroughs figures and my individual council ward, and check the figures of any destination that we are going to.

When figures were rising here prior to the circuit breaker lockdown in November, we used this information to moderate our outside activities.

I'm probably more proactive than the average person in this respect - but even I wouldn't think to check the government guidance each day just in case it had changed.  I'd rely on the government to brief the media and local leaders, and once I had learned that there were changes, I'd go and read the guidance.

Wishing you a very happy birthday and glad you eventually had your relaxation time in the hot tub with lots of bubbly (and hopefully the cheese straws too).

It doesn’t sound like it’s been the best day for you, but am sure things looked up considerably once in the tub!

Thank you all I’m trying to unwind for the rest of the day , it’s been a unusual day again really I remember when I was 21 and hated being 21 I thought it was all down hill from then , not being a teenager anymore, but I’ve got the same feeling now being 61 it’s all down hill again, silly me too much bubbly again 😂😂😂 , being that I don’t celebrate birthdays the age 21 & 61 bothers me 🥴

We too look at the data for where we are going and if looking risky don't go. Same as restaurants and cafe's. If they don't look safe we don't walk through the door. Some of the folk from Yorkshire and Lancashire say they know why, but can't say. Those local leaders in an area nudging 400 per 100k , IMHO should be looking very carefully all the time.

Cheers Avril, no not yet I have another scan they need to do next week and then it all goes

off to the chiefs  of the Cardio team to ponder through the data and see where we go from

there. I have spent a lot of time sleeping today just feel so drained today but feeling a bit better

in myself as time goes on if that makes sense :classic_unsure: You and Frank take care :classic_love:

I do check our local area and surprise, surprise, we were at 6 per 100,000 and we are now at 25/100,000 presumably due to all the visitors who have been arriving in droves for about 3 weeks.

Surrey is 8.9 and Woking 11.7. We are in Cornwall at the moment, we didn't stop over in Exeter on the way down this time, so don't blame us.🤣. Those blooming Londoners I'll bet
