Let me know how it goes. I'm scheduled to get my first jab tomorrow afternoon @ 2:30. (14:30 for the people in Europe 🙂 )

Moderna as well. Not my first choice, would have preferred J&J or Pfizer in that order.  But I was so happy to get an appointment 2 days after becoming eligible, I jumped at the chance.  No telling how long I'd have to wait. Some placedswere booked thru May while other said check back daily. I don't mind doing that checking cruise and air fares but for vaccines......not so much.

My thinking sure has evolved over the past few months when I said I wouldn't wait for many months just to be sure.

I didn't have any problems with the Moderna.  Light side effects for me, a couple days of flu like for Bucky, (both on the second shots)...but that was it.

Ah...got you beat by 7 years, but close enough. No cell phones, etc....what a different time. Used to go over to the basement of the dining hall (snack bar, tvs, etc.) at college to at least catch Johnny Carson's opening monologue.

Used to watch David Letterman morning show at the commons

I had to buy about $50 worth of hoses, power cords, and connectors for our new washer and dryer.  I asked if I could just use the perfectly good hoses, etc. that are already in place from the old washer/dryer.  Nope.  Need to buy new to ensure that the people installing the new units don't run into any problems.  Sounds like a scam, but at least the new hose are all clean.

After a couple of loads in the new washing machine, we found that clothes were coming out of the washer a bit warm.  They were supposed to be rinsed with cold water.  Yup...the installers connected the hoses wrong, hot to cold and cold to hot.  The cold rinse was using hot water (and the hot water wash was using cold water).  Easy enough fix but really??

We needed extra hoses for steam dryer

I got so tired of constantly checking to see if the Aussie 2023 schedule had posted yet, I failed to check right away this morning.  I was busy grocery shopping, doing laundry, washing my little SUV...then finally settled at the computer this morning at 11 am.

Almost spit out my coffee when I realized they were already posted!!  😮

Sooo, just finished booking Radiance out of Sydney (was originally supposed to BE on Serenade right now outside Sydney).  😞   2021 Australia is now 2023 for us ...... hopefully a more normal experience by then.

Got my fingers flying quick and booked four legs.  Boarding in Sydney on 3/17/23, staying on to Honolulu until 4/30/23, which is as far as they have released yet.  Will assume, and hope RCI will follow the norm doing a few Hawaiian islands followed by the TP to Vancouver to start the 2023 Alaska tour.  We will stay on for that and the north/south bound to Seward from there...once again assuming and hoping that is the schedule.

Worse places to get stuck😉

Good luck.  I got my second shot of Moderna yesterday.  Can't lift my arm to shoulder height and have had chills and headache since yesterday.  Tylenol is helping but am just lazing around today.  We will see if I end up with a rash like I did with the first shot.  That won't come for a week or so.  Both my husband and son got Pfizer and only had a sore arm.  My son was supposed to get J&J but they ran out, so he was given Pfizer.

I love Fireball whiskey.  My problem would be swish, swallow, swish again just to be sure, swallow and there goes my day.  LOL

The two sons of a very good friend of mine were the head writers for the David Letterman show.If I wanted to see the show in person they would get me a front row seat. The last time I was there David Schwimmer was a guest. He was constantly raising his shoes because he stepped in gum and was trying to get it off.

I met Jonathan Harris, Dr. Smith from "Lost in Space" when I was about 10. I think the show had just recently ended.  It was at a breakfast diner in one of the casinos in Lake Tahoe. I was all excited and I wanted to get his autograph, and my mom made me wait until they finished eating. And I shyly took over a pen and one of our losing Keno tickets and asked him.

And he immediately went in to his Dr. Smith persona and voice, and said dramatically, "What's this? A loooosing Keno ticket? Do you really expect me to sign this rubbish? :classic_biggrin: Give it here. "

And he smiled and asked my name and signed it. I thanked him profusely and scurried back to our table, delighted.

And my mom frowning, said, "He was kind of mean about it".

And I was grinning, "No mom. Not at all. He was doing Dr. Smith for me!" :classic_biggrin::classic_biggrin:

The earlier daytime version, not the late night one
