Good morning! @cunnorl Have a safe and fun trip. We had the pleasure of meeting the @erewhon and what a nice couple they are. I’m going to pass on the pizza. I like kale and sweet potatoes but I’m a traditionalist when it comes to pizza.

We received our third boosters yesterday and other then another sore arm no problems. Probably a little more tired then normal last night and we fixed that by going to bed earlier.

Rich I do hope your day of travel goes well and that your airborne and headed for another great cruise.

Need to refill some prescriptions, get a haircut and I told my dear wife I would take her out to dinner. The manual labor was yesterday as I had to trim some shrubbery that was beginning to grow out of control.

Seems like we just attended church and here it’s Hump Day already!

Roy thanks for you care list and to all who make the Daily a fun part of our lives.

Good morning!!  I am heading out soon to a garden club meeting.  Dentist laster this afternoon.   The division of the massive Philodendron was a lot of work.  It was so massive I broke off the pieces with wood and tossed them.  Then I had 2 large plants to repot and a couple of small ones that thankfully I had a pot for.  Of course just as I was wrapping up the power company shut off our power for 2 hours.   I really needed a bath before dinner but not to be.

@richwmnI hope your travels go smoothly today!  Thank you for the Daily Report and the map!    I will pass on all three comestibles and look forward to photos of beautiful NZ.   Prayers for those dealing with the aftermath if Ian and Fiona and for the people of Ukraine and wishes for good health for everyone and safe travels wherever you are heading!

Good morning from central Texas.  It is 57F, but will warm up nicely today.  Not too much on today’s agenda, except I have a routine doctor's appointment and blood test.  Then, I'll stop at the store to pick up prescriptions and a few groceries.

Do something nice is always good, and teachers deserve their day.  Since we're not kale fans, we won't be celebrating kale.

As far as today’s quote, I agree with @rafinmd Roy and @kazu Jacqui.

We'll pass on the meal (kale), drink and wine.

Unfortunately, we have not been to Dunedin.  I hope we can make it there someday.

@richwmn  Rich, thanks for posting the days, maps, etc while traveling.  Have a safe flight.

@smitty34877  Terry, glad everyone is feeling better.  I hope Tana's appetite improves soon.

@marshhawk  Congratulations, Annie, on three sales yesterday.

@cunnorl  Charlene, safe travels tomorrow, and hope all test negative in San Diego.

@Cruzin Terri  Terri, your trip sounds like just what you needed in spite of the rain.

Lenda

Good morning from Barbados.

It seems like we have overcast skies again today with a good bit of wind.

Last night we had a lovely dinner here at the Coral Reef Club to celebrate our anniversary.  We had lots of rain to accompany our meal.

I think we did the right thing by getting away from our messy situation at home.  It gives us an opportunity to rest and look at the whole situation more objectively.

Today I have a facial booked at 2:15 and then I will also schedule a massage.  That should help to ease sore muscles from the nasty fall I took two weeks ago.

Other from that we have a day of relaxing planned.

Prayers for all who need them and cheers to those on the celebration list.

God Bless,

Terri

Nice photo Terri.

It is good to put a face to a name.

I'm pleased to hear you both had a nice anniversary meal.

Graham.

We first visited Port Chalmers on Dec. 19, 2013 on Diamond Princess.  We took a tour on the Taieri Gorge Railway train which came right to the ship for pickup of passengers.  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVI8_M9C4R6ho8ByuWg5INiC?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1388711449

It was a comfortable ride and some seats had a table at them sort of in a booth configuration which came in handy at lunch.  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVJXNOyb7KJcaeVObFrZDnGB?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1388708796

Four of us ate at the table and they even provided wine with refills if you wanted it.  Made for a crowded table but no one minded.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVJvv1wSMPH7wznXWGaMd3W4?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1388708688

Along the way on our tour of the Taieri Gorge.  The scenery was great and we saw a lot this yellow plant growing there.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVKPJqZoZEORObX_s4c-qSwb?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1388711087

We made a stop or two along the way at tiny little outposts, but the train stopped and reversed course at Pukerangi.  Locals set up tables displaying good for the tourists to buy and enjoy.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVKdaDNUG4TZ9qYaKDU9nE2a?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1388708654

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report.  I’ll take my kale in Portuguese Kale soup please, preferably from Napis in Provincetown.  Today is a cold wet day.  I’ll spend my day nudging customers to finish up testing and get ready for tomorrow’s deadline.  Verifly finally recognizes our upcoming cruise so that is a good thing.  I hope everyone has a good day today.

Another beautiful day in Port Chalmers on Nov. 30, 2017.  On this trip we were on Sun Princess for 62 days seeing all the sights in Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVIDuyPXz5E1iJN4urVrw5rX?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513622575

I believe I booked a private tour from Good Company, so we waited in this special area for our group to gather.  We would visit Larnach Castle, Speight's Brewery and a Dunedin city tour.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVIdSw1_H7aCcvubUqJsu3C8?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513622617

Along the way to Dunedin we saw theForsyth Barr Stadium, third largest in New Zealand.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVLVgl_30ku_VVkoCEj2grfP?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513622646

We passed a different brewery named Emerson's.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVJuSitU5Ri-yhUFuLPZ7sBh?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513622670

One place we stopped at seemed pretty popular for tourists guessing from the number of people already there.  The so called steepest street in the world, Baldwin Street.  I'm not so sure. 00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVKqKPWIcsgnNacyiqsNHFAE?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1664971897

I feel like I've been on steeper before.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVLrLB_E6o4naJTrNFkcoygX?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513622725

The tour stopped at the Dunedin Railway Station which was nice because I'm sure many on the bus had never been there before. 00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVKdn9Cns0tAXHwffKe6U7cy?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513622785

Out on the Station lawn, you can see the Cadbury candy company across the road.  Some tours actually include a Cadbury tour and it's quite popular.  I know the crew made sure they got a good supply of Cadbury chocolates while in town.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVIyPA5Z3V2e4fUGGY52rrTA?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513622841

That's our bus parked in front of the train station.  Time to head downtown to pick up more passengers.  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVI4grMyPmCJggBMsZPhcEeF?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513620502

We stopped near St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral which is right next door to the Town Hall.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVK_xWYN5v2GQpgq53vsMZEj?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1664971939

Oh my, I'd better stop this post and continue on for a brief visit to the brewery.  You're probably all sick of Larnack Castle by now.

In flight internet is working (thanks T-Mobile). Flight got off on time and might arrive early. My laptop was damaged earlier but it might be fixable in Ottawa. I had other problems this morning, but things seem better now.

Glad to be heading to friends and a BHB.

We of course had the same beautiful scenery leaving the Castle and heading back to the city.  We made our last stop at Speight's Brewery, the largest one in New Zealand.  We began our tour in the production area, but evereyone had that tasting room on their mind.  Our guide took us through the history of the company and its place in Dunedin's background.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVIvrBTAaGTB3MiOmDzmDYYH?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513625215

Our guide Keith went through the whole process.  I don't remember much he said, but DH could probably give the tour for him with 29 years experience in engineering at Anheuser-Busch.  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVIgXwz4LFreZHVgkKbZHs34?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513625261

Since I don't drink beer I took small sips of lighter beers.  I would never want to waste a whole glass of beer like that.  We had a full day on this tour and enjoyed it a lot.  If I were going back I would check out their tours and no doubt find something new to do in Dunedin.

In flight internet is working (thanks T-Mobile). Flight got off on time and might arrive early. My laptop was damaged earlier but it might be fixable in Ottawa. I had other problems this morning, but things seem better now.

Glad to be heading to friends and a BHB.

I hope the laptop is fixable.  Can't wait to meet you on board.

Good morning. Now that the mornings are so dark and the temps are in the low 40's I am making the dogs wait a bit for their walks. The result is I get started later and later. Oh well, things will change shortly.

I will eat Kale, but it is not a favorite. And I hope to make New Zealand in 2024. Pictures really make me want to go.

Yesterday afternoon I had a meeting with the City Council on the city support for the Humane Society. They are grappling with a major problem just now as the homeless camp on the outskirts of town has been shut down and the city and county are searching, without success, for a new location. So my presentation was rushed. Hardly worth the effort. They did thank me for the organized presentation materials I had submitted earlier. We will see what comes..... if we do not get what we requested I will have to start renegotiating the contract. My time on the BOD ends in May and I can hardly wait. I need a cruise!!!!!

Good morning all!

We should do nice things every day, I don't mind a little kale in a salad, but don't like a lot of it.  We have several teachers in our family, including both of my sisters.  I never had the patience so didn't follow that route! 😄

The quote is partially true, will pass on the meal and drink but would like the wine.  Another port that we'll hopefully see on the Grand Australia!  Thanks for your great photos Sandi @StLouisCruisers.

Today is our last full day at home before leaving for a month.  Tomorrow night we'll head to a SeaTac hotel for an early flight to Quebec City Friday morning.  It's hard to believe that when we return it will be November, and everything will look different here -- especially the garden.  The leaves on our trees here are just starting to turn, and it will be a lot cooler. Coming home from the Caribbean I'm sure it will feel especially cold.

Sharon @Sharon in AZthank you for checking in and posting the beautiful photo!  Looks like nice, clear skies there. 🙂

Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily!   I often try to do something nice; today it will be to pick up a cake at the grocery store and surprise a friend with it for her birthday.  Whenever I've tried to eat kale, it reminded me of the time I thought it was okay to eat the centre of an artichoke.  Having slept with a teacher for the past 45 years, I can certainly appreciate all they do for our children and for our society.

A bit of a late start - I didn't sleep well last night.  It seems beginning about a month out from our cruises, I can't turn my brain off "planning" mode.  Last night it started with waking around 2:30, thinking of various things to do and when I finally did fall asleep, I dreamed I left our cabin and couldn't find a way to get back to it - I was lost on the ship.  I am going to make a list of the things I need to do and will check them off so maybe my brain will know I'm not behind when it comes to getting ready to travel.

A busy day today, we're headed to the hardware store to get plastic for the windows and then in the late afternoon we have to cover any remaining plants (begonias and papyrus) because we're expecting frost tonight . . . serious frost, going down to -8C (17F), and if things aren't covered, well, they're gone.  We try to keep things colourful for as long as possible because we live in the land of white for so very long.

@marshhawkcongratulations on your 3 sales yesterday - I'm giving you a pat on the back, even though your boss didn't.

Wishing all who are headed to their port cities a safe trip and wonderful cruise days!

I'm going to give today's menu suggestion a pass, as DH doesn't care for sweet potatoes, and well, you know how I feel about kale.  I had the rotisserie chicken carcass from last week in the freezer and it's currently sitting in a stock pot where it will be turned into chicken soup for us tonight.  We'll pick up some buns (too busy to make them today), so we'll have a light dinner of soup and buns tonight.  And wine.

Prayers for those who are hurting, especially for the brave people in Ukraine, and cheers to all the celebrants.  Stay safe, everyone!

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Good morning again.  The appointment with the physician assistant went well with just one change in dosage.  I really like the PA, and especially the fact that he listens.

It looks like I might be mowing the yard today.  With our lack of rain, the grass isn't really growing, but the wild grass is putting out the tall seed shoots which are now about two feet high, and beginning to look shaggy.

Susan, I hope you were persuasive enough in the short time you had so you get what you requested.

Gerry, we keep lists on the computer for cruise preparation and preparation for going to and from Quartzsite.  We just need to remember to keep checking the lists and marking off things done and things packed.  😉

I now have an appointment for the third booster and the flu shot tomorrow morning.
