How many days has it been since you last disembarked a ship after the conclusion of your last cruise, and, if you want to, the reasons behind the extended delays. I just checked, and the number of days since I disembarked the Celebrity Equinox was (per this site😞

 

1,554 days

 

Or 4 years, 3 months, 2 days. Or, looking at it another way, 51 months, 2 days.

 

My reasons...

• I was job relocated to Texas, and purchased a new home.
• Covid
• Cancellation of planned cruise in September, 2022 due to adult caregiver issues

November 11 of this year was our most recent disembarkation.  That was our fourth cruise in 2022.  Our only "delays" were all of 2020 and 2021.  We plan to try to make up for lost time, starting in March.

April  5th.  265 days.  That was our first cruise since March 2020 (we all know why).  Prior to that we cruised 2 or 3 times a year.  We have another short one in a couple of months.  I really miss cruising.

46 days.  I had one cruise in 2020 pre-pandemic, then a 20-month break, then two last year, and four this year.  I have four planned for next year; I might sneak in another one.

Sixty-six days since disembarking a 19 day cruise in the Med. It was a BTB, so it was the 2nd and 3rd cruises of 2022.

Not even two weeks - since returning from 47 days on Oceania Marina on December 4. Overall, it was good to get back to, at least, a more normal schedule of cruising in 2022 (this year, we did about 100 nights over a total of 7 cruise segment).

Almost been exactly a year. Before that, it was almost two years. Next one is almost up. I used to do about 3 a year before COVID. Gotta get back to that.

It's been almost 15 years since our first and only cruise so far. There were kids to raise and marry off, help one fight cancer, then my two parents to care for and finally bury.

 

If it weren't for the incomparable and inexplicable generosity of a dear friend gifting us a cruise in March, we wouldn't be going on this one. 

 

We're going to make sure the 15 year wait was worth it. 🙂

40 days since last cruise, and embarking on the next one in 8 days!  This is by far the closest together I've ever cruised.  Making up for a couple of skipped years due to Covid.

February 1, 2020, just before our world changed due to Covid 19.  We were on a Sky Princess Caribbean cruise.
