Thank you to Paul @kochleffel for the Daily and Fleet Report for today and to @JazzyV for the cares list.

Prayers for those who have lost loved ones and to those who are ill and in pain from injuries.

I do agree about the pain medication being of utmost importance.  I remember when I had the pulmonary emboli and in great pain.  I was prescribed pain meds and I did not want to take them.  The doctor insisted, saying that they would reduce the pain and help me breathe better and that was very important to help me recover from this terrible ordeal.

Bon Voyage to Sandi @StLouisCruisers.  Hope your journey today is not too arduous.

We had another rocky night on the ship.  i pulled up the NOAA weather app (NIH) and it contained a Marine offshore water warning.

There seems to be Gale warnings in a number of places, and high wave heights and sea swells that will last at least until Tuesday.  I am betting that we skip St. Barth’s tomorrow.  It is a tender port and I remember skipping it when seas were not this rough.  When we were on the Insignia in December it was not half as rough as this and we had to skip it.  We then tried to go to St. Maarten and we could not even dock there.  So I am thinking that we are looking at another sea day tomorrow.  Nothing has been said yet, but I would bet money on it.

I hope everyone has a nice day and looking forward to a nice weekend.

Take care, stay safe and God Bless,

Terri

@Quartzsite Cruiser Lenda I am amazed by your detailed posts. Thank you for thinking of all of us.

Some of our neighbor ladies have a cleaning crew once a month and they will be here Monday.

Joy, I'm happy you are getting someone to clean for you since you don't need to stress those ribs anymore than necessary.

Thank you for your nice comments.

Maxine mine lasted between 2-3 weeks -- I also heard about "stuff" going around.  DH never caught it!  Unfortunately this winter has been awful for everything, and strange "new" things too.  I hope you feel better soon!

And thank you for the encouragement!  Mine had been steady at stage 3 for about 15 years -- then suddenly made a big jump to stage 4 😞  Right now I'd be happy to get back to 3 or at least not advance further.

That's news nobody wants to hear.  Try to stay positive, Carolyn.  You know we're all with you here.

@RedneckBobI hope you meant National Grits Day.  Nobody wants Girts.

The key to medication once you get sober, is to take as directed, and when you feel you can go without, go without, and get rid of them.

Ok, here are the test results.  There is an 8mm nodule in one lung, and a 4mm nodule in the other, there is a small adrenal gland tumor, and a cyst in one kidney.  Dr. K is sending me to a pulmonologist, he said we might need to worry, but as it is,  all is fine, he just wants me with the right doctor, to get his opinion.  So I guess until I get a BAD report then I can be taken off the lists now.  DH said it isnt good but with my cough he thought it was going to be a much worse story.

Oh my, another super senior movement, I mean moment!

I guess eating a girt would be kinda hard on the teeth and belly unless I was Super RedneckBob!

Just got back.from our long day of shore excursion. I was thinking we would return to a  blinking message light.  Not so. John was so optimistic he carried his bag up there this morning and headed straight up to our cabin. Nope still on Dolphin deck. Last night something was protruding from the hull because our cabin was 5 times as loud as it was crossing the Drake Passage. Finally at 12:30 am I sent a message to guest services and let them have it. My main point is they gave us the worst cabin on the ship next to mid ship gangway and that it sounded like a freight train or sometimes a subway platform all night last night. I told the I paid for my balcony, my bathtub and peace and quiet. Not a message from guest services. I told them their skimpy renumeration was pitiful.

Our shore excursion was great. Punta del Este is beautiful and we had a great lunch that started rocky due to crowding that could have been handled better but they fixed it with a lot of good food and wine.

Thanks for the Daily Reports and for our Care list. Prayers for all needing them, the people of Ukraine and Roy, Jacqui,.Tana and Kathi. Photos maybe later have a Tamarind pop up.at 5:30 and another early long day tomorrow.  Nancy

I'm back from appointments. GI thinks I'm doing pretty well, with reduced stomach complaints. Rheumatology also gave a fairly good report since my eye flares are about once a month and my hand joints have quieted after skipping that one dose of medication in November. I'll get an injection for my hip bursa, but there wasn't time today, so I have to go back.

@Quartzsite Cruiser Thank you for the photos from Gambia and posting Sandi's photos; it makes us realize how much we all have here.

@cruising sister You had surgery! Don't try to tough it out without taking some pain medication.

@tupper10 Good to hear that the epidural is helping. Prayers that your son only needs antibiotics.

@Cruising-along Hopefully your doctor will have a plan to stabilize the kidneys; does she want you to see a Nephrologist? I'm sure this is all hard to take in.

@marshhawk Good that your doctor is sending you to a specialist about the lung nodules. Have you heard anything about Fern?

@cruzn single Welcome back to the Daily. Sorry to hear about the air quality in Hawaii and it's effect on your lungs. Feel better!

@0106 Great photo!

@Cruzin Terri Nice photo and I'm glad you got sunglasses. Sorry to hear the rough seas may interfere with your itinerary.

@Seasick Sailor I'm glad you're getting some help with the cleaning. Rest up until you leave.

@grapau27 Welcome home. Thanks for the photos from your vacation.

@ottahand7 So sorry you're still not in your cabin, and all the issues with the one they put you in. I'm glad your shore excursion was good, at least.

@grapau27 Thanks for your photos.  You seem to have a wonderful variety of cruising experiences ( and delicious meals)!  I cannot image being in a ship that large.  How do you find your way around?  Are there lines at the restaurants, to get off the ship.  Are the ports overwhelmed by the sheer number of passengers?   We were just in Sint Maarten on the Rotterdam (2600 passengers) docked next to the Symphony of the Sea (9000 passengers).   There was also a Celebrity ship about the same size as the Rotterdam.  We looked like a toy boat next to the huge RCL ship.  The water taxis couldn’t keep up and it was extremely crowded in town. When you have rested, I’d love to hear why you enjoy the larger ships.  Is it the water slides?🤣

Praying that the lung nodules and  cyst are coincidentals.   If it’s any comfort, I’ve had both for any years with no issues,  but always need to get them checked out first.

Yes, Carolyn.  Very "whoopsie."   I keep reading that stomach stuff is going around, but nobody else here has caught it, so maybe it was something I ate -- or just my perpetually bad tummy.

I'm really sorry to hear you have disappointing kidney numbers.  I hope they're not too dangerous.  It's scary.  Mine aren't super, but one thing the urologist did impress upon me was that although damage has been done, that doesn't mean they have to deteriorate further -- they can stay the same.  I hope you get advice from your docs that is comforting.

Sorry to hear you are ill, hope you have a quick recovery!

Good morning, Daily friends!  It has been over a month since I have been a visitor!  I know I have lots of reading to do to try and catch up.  Been thinking of everyone and want to know I want to get caught up.

Had a great time in Hawaii, and lots of wonderful memories created with long-time friends.  But during the early part of my trip, the air quality was quite bad, thanks to the VOG.  Air traffic patterns were even altered into/out of Oahu during the first 10-12 days.  Thanks to that situation, my already compromised lungs got a big dose of bad air!  Though I had a cold, although I tested negative several times for C-19!  After I returned to the mainland, things got progressively worse!  Ended up in the ER last Sunday, and follow-up with doc on Monday.  Very bad exacerbation of my lung problems.  I tested negative for C-19, RSV, Influenza A&B, and no pneumonia.  So, after 6 days of strong antibiotics and high prednisone doses, I think I will live!  I was aching up into my shoulders from the extreme coughing!

I know my "troubles" are minor compared to others, but just wanted to give a short explanation as to the cause of my absence.  I will be spending time trying to read many days of the Daily, and know that my thoughts and prayers go out to al in need.

Have a great day, everyone.  Now to try to get out a little today to get a few things done!  I need to get my act together because I leave Monday for a 3-day conference in the Denver area for Red Cross.  Wish me luck!

Yikes,  hope you feel better soon!

No it isn't, Ann.  Thank you so much.

I am so sorry you had such tough news, praying it all will stabilize!
@cruising sister hope your hand feels better soon

@tupper10hope the epidural works and your DS feels better soon

Thanks to all those who have stepped up!   A special thanks for all those mulitquoting and providing photos!

A righteous rant @ottahand7 and Guest Services should make it right by you rapidly!

There was 6400 passengers on board but the ship is huge 227,000 tons and it seemed quiet.

There is so much to do.

We saw an amazing ice skating show.

The Aqua show is stunning.

We both went on the Carousel 🎠 on the boardwalk.

There is a rock climbing wall, water slides, flow rider, golf putting green,a zip wire etc.

The Royal promenade has a great assortment of shops, bars and eating area's including Starbucks, Sorrento's pizza, cafe promenade.

I booked the ultimate dining package so we dined every night in Speciality restaurants and had lunch in the speciality restaurants on sea days.

We dined 3 night in Giovanni's.

3 nights in 150 Central Park and 1 night in Chops Grill.

These 3 restaurants are all in the lovely Central Park.

All of my food photos came from the speciality restaurants.

@cruzn single I'm sorry you were affected by the VOG. We've been visiting Maui nearly every year since 85. Twice we had VOG. The first time,  Allen got hiccups so severely on day 3 we went to Urgent care. Apparently this happens to some people and they knew what to do. He was given a muscle relaxer and in a few hours his hiccups were gone. Years later it happened again. We called our at home doctor and she called in the prescription. Same thing, hiccups gone!
