@Sea Dog I found a way to access the Hungry Network.  They go through a group called XUMO.  Xumo has an app you can download and watch shows for free.  It has 11 food channels.   One is Hungry.   You can watch it live or they have several  series you can choose to watch.  There is a Huge selection of a large variety of programs and movies.  I have just started to use it but I think I will like it.  It's a bit of a challenge to get around on it but may get better as I continue to use it.

I just noticed they have Jamie Oliver on there too.  Jamie's.

Love Jamie's show too! There are lots of others. I love the food travel ones. Yeah it's a little effort to look for them.

I’m woefully behind again after only one day!

It doesn’t matter to me if the thread stays where it is or moves to Floataway.  I’ll be here either way but it seems there are others who wouldn’t if it moves and I’d hate to lose anyone.  The few nasty intruders we’ve had didn’t stick around long.  Best to just ignore them when they show up (but thanks @Jimbo!)

I had a great day at the beach yesterday with my 3 oldest friends from high school.  We laughed, reminisced and warmly remembered the few that’ve left us too soon.
It’s 93 degrees here today, just spent most of the day floating around the pool which is great but only slightly refreshing with the water temperature 90 degrees!

I think I mentioned our best friends won a “free” cruise thru the Foxwoods casino on NCL.  They’ve never cruised before & want us to join them so I researched all the options from a list of possibles they were given and dates that worked for them (both still work full time). We settled on the Getaway Eastern Caribbean out if PC next June.  Their “free” cruise is going to cost them $2100, LOL.  That includes upgrading to a balcony and the 4 promos so ultimately not a bad price for a 7 night cruise.
@aussielozzie18 I’m so enjoying your travel photos.  Please keep them coming!

@Sea DogCant wait to see pictures of this fabulous dinner you’re preparing.

Did you try an Oyster Omelette?

I saw that and thought that sounds disgusting.   I love oyster and I love omelets but not together.    I do love eggs benedict with jumbo lump crab or over a crabcake for breakfast/brunch.

My DH was told they are two different kinds of peppers but neither of them are supposed to be hot.  He remembers she said "italian peppers" and something else.  I thought they look like banana peppers too and searched for italian pepper names and none ring a bell to him.  I had gone shopping yesterday and bought italian sausages and rolls to have an easy dinner today but forgot peppers lol  I usually use red bell peppers and sweet onions but whatever these are will have to do!  Figured I would ask here as there are lots that grow all sorts of stuff.  Thanks for the help, will see how they taste later. 🙂

Maybe they are pepperoncini which is an italian pepper and typically 2 to 3 inches long, like a banana pepper.     Whichever they are I am sure they will go good with your sausage.    Enjoy.

I realized after I posted the picture that I didn't have a size reference.  The littlest pepper is almost 3 inches and the largest is about 6 inches.  Littlest could be pepperoncini but DH would have recognized that name when he got the peppers as he usually has those in his lunch most days.  Cooking them all soon, should be interesting...

Favorite cities...difficult question.  In no particular order, because I can't order them:

Paris

London

Rome

Hong Kong

Barcelona

I was supposed to visit Florence, Milan, and Venice (any of which may have made the list), but Covid killed that plan.

We went here yesterday.

It was a cloth market in the 18th century.

There are independent shops behind every window.

Graham.

When looking at earlier photo I thought it was hotel.     Lot is a lot of individual shops and would probably take a couple of days if you were to visit all of them.

When we were in Myrtle Beach, one of the restaurants we went to had oyster flights.  Four drinks with oysters floating on them.

I don’t mind oysters, and I don’t mind drinks, but somehow the combination didn’t appeal to me.  After seeing them at the next table, I was glad I did not order.

Maybe a Cubanelle pepper?    They are mild and grow 5 to 7 inches.     Please ask DH to find out when he goes to back I am really curious now 😀

I have seen them served somewhere in Baltimore MD and passed on ordering too!

We should ask John for his list after his world cruise .

We got around in about 4 hours.

Some of the shops were large inside and covered 3-4 windows.

Got a msg from DD at 4.30am their time.  She is camping at a music festival in the US with very limited internet.  Turns out the only place with reception near the campsite is in the queue for the portaloo…

She wanted her share her kindness of strangers moment.  A mom my age gave DD her mobile number and said if she has any problems at the festival feel free to call her and with a storm predicted offered DD and her travel buddy, the pullout sofa bed in her RV, if their tent is overwhelmed.

Oysters and beer are good, but not together!

I've been to these three and my pick would be Budapest hands down.

Athens Greece would be high on the list for me...
