Hoping tomorrow is not a difficult day for you and your DW.

Wishing good luck for tomorrow to any posters on here from Long Island or the metro area.

We brought in our deck furniture to the porch and are hoping that Henri changescourse out to the Atlantic.

However, their new home has a Viking gas range!

I like gas ranges but we would have to have a gas line run to the kitchen.  We have enjoyed having a double oven especially special times when we have many over to eat.

Today was the bridal shower for our future daughter-in-law .... on Long Island. The trip home for us to New Jersey was crazy (particularly on the Long Island Expressway). There were a lot of people obviously escaping all parts East.  Road signs indicating Hurricane coming.... avoid travel tomorrow.

Should be interesting. Hope all stay well and safe.

My allure cruise now shows grand suites at 3k week after thanksgiving and it’s 8 days . I paid just a little more and they will not give me new price , even though it’s not past final , I think that’s because I got 125 percent after previous cruise was canceled and used that for this cruise.

Monday of this week the price on our October Symphony dropped and RC gave us $535 OBC.  Except for about $250, it was paid for by the 125% FCC we got from a canceled cruise.

Made it to Richmond Kentucky by 5:30 pm. Met up with daughter and son In law.

The hardest part today was a tie.

1. Why is there bumper to bumper traffic on a Saturday in Atlanta when there is 8 lanes going the same way !!!!!  16 lane freeway!
Very very nerve racking.

2. The storm that we were in for most of Tennessee. Traffic moving 35-40 mph because the torrential down pour you could not see

We were patient. Took or time.  Now time for 💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤💤

Stay safe.

Having driven 3,000+ miles round trip from CA to South Dakota and back, I understand what you are going through. It's tough to deal with traffic especially when you are tired as the stop and go part is mentally and physically draining.

Hoping you guys sleep well tonight and travel safe for the rest of your journey home.

Continue on day 4 of the Disney trip report:

After the boys were done with the roller coaster, it was time to suck it up and stand in line for an outdoor wait for another E-Ticket ride at Cars Land. Not much shade on some of the wait area but they turned on the mister up on top to spray some water on people to cool everyone off…

@Bobmackliberty - Sorry, Bob, this was the only "rock" picture from this trip.  No National Parks this time as I read that this summer the National Parks were overwhelmed with large number of visitors as people 1) Couldn't travel overseas to Europe/Asia 2) No Cruises. So national parks were the "safe" option since it was outdoors. But the system is not designed to have that many visitors all at once.

DD2 is here visiting with her boyfriend.  Micheline and daughter wanted to go to the spa.  Boyfriend and I had no interest in getting a facial.  Boyfriend and I wanted to fly in a powered hang glider.  Micheline and daughter had no interest in anything like that.  Perfect solution...they went to the spa while we went flying.  It was a LOT of fun.  I'll definitely be doing that again.  Sorry...no spa pictures.

That looks like a lot of fun. I guess you have to do training, pass tests to be able to do it?

I had the rapid Antigen test done right at my health care providers office.  Sat in the office and waited 15 minutes and they handed me a piece of paper with the negative result.  I had a backup appt at Walgreens for the ID Now that I cancelleld

Thanks for the info. I'm going to have to have a back up plan also.

Good morning everyone.

TSOTD is from beautiful Bermuda.

Wonderful times to all those cruising today.

I have yet to go to Bermuda. Was supposed to go last year on a TA, but it was canceled. Someday I will make it there.

Our old oven went out last summer.  We replaced it with a double oven with the main being convection.  We love it.  First oven with convection.  If I preheat the oven with the stone in it at 550 for about 45 minutes, the pizza is done in about 7 minutes. I like it cooking cookies because of how evenly they all cook.  One thing I haven’t tried is using it like an air fryer.  Have you tried one like that?  I guess I need to google it.

Another thing that is new to use is it has an induction stove top.  It is great.  Turn it on high and you can have boiling water in just a couple minutes.  Had to get new pans.  Pots and pans have to be magnetic for it to work.  I still am looking for that perfect pan for it.

Just a suggestion, if you have never had a covid test you may want to get one just to see the process and help alleviate anxiety you may have about how it all works.

Thanks. The only concern is getting an appt. As a child I'm guessing I had my finger at least as far as they will put in the qt. 😁  I did have one a couple months ago since it was required for a procedure at the hospital. I think at this point I'm going to order the home test that Royal accepts. I will also try to make an appt thru CVS. If I get an appt I'll do that and keep the home tests for possible use in October, November and January.

We love our induction cook top. I have always hated to wait for water to boil. It's so fast now.

My wife and I are waiting for a visit from Henri .There will likely be a mandatory evacuation tomorrow if it is as bad as expected. However,I am not able to do that .We did not leave when Hurricane Sandy hit here in 2012.We did not sustain any damage to our house but our daughter who lives 5 minutes away from us had so much damage that she and family spent 4 1/2 months living in our house.

Hopefully I will be on CC tomorrow.

Hope you and all the folks in Henri's path stay safe!

You're right. Just checked again, and instead of "call us", it shows the price....

Balconies for over 3K (refundable), quite pricey 😲 for a week long cruise.

We booked a balcony cabin for Bella's cruise back in April and paid far less than $3,000 for both of us.  I haven't checked pricing lately and was unaware it went up that much.

I love the look of the new Bronco. What do you like? Anything you don't like? Seriously considering this.

I bought the first year FJ Cruiser. Kept it 2 or 3 years. Laura hated it, so I sold it.

Now they have a crazy cult following. I miss its quirkiness
