Went to dinner at a local oyster/seafood place. Food is just OK but there’s a nice outdoor area overlooking the intracoastal waterway with live music and nice sunset views.

What’s the name of the restaurant? Sometimes a view makes up for food quality.

I put in the minimum bid for a balcony. Since I have read on here that some people don't know if they were upgraded until they get to the port I asked Anna when I might find out. Since they were taking my luggage from our first room to the next I was hoping to find out beforehand. She told me not to unpack until after sail away so I didn't. I got a call right before about the move.

Nice that you got to see the virtual view before moving to your balcony.

And the tacos pics that didn't post. The Metromover ls nice and Bayside Market and really nice.  I will have to share pics later.  The market, nice boats, a live band playing, a beautiful park like area with beautiful trees.  I am glad we discovered it this time around. I will do it again when we come back to Miami.  And the cute dog that rode with us on the way back.  We are leaving the hotel at 3am.

Beautiful pictures. Love the color of the water. Yes, the first picture is Atlantis.

@ReneeFLLActually, I may be a bit disoriented. That might not be Atlantis. Where were you when you took the photo?

This is Atlantis at sunrise as Oasis arrives at Nassau. Not a great picture but the only one I can fine right now.IMG_0082.thumb.JPG.4531f8673f1d77f62b41b65aa79821af.JPG

@Jimbo

Here are some carnations that I also got from Costco for the Freedom cruises. I had them in a different vase and put them in the champagne bucket and left them for the cabin steward. They had at least another week of life left.20210919_204623.thumb.jpg.fc4c34d83db224d44055b522a30c38ca.jpg

Lots of people don't know but Costco does have very nice flowers. Price is very good too compared to Florist Shops.

Here are some pictures from the virtual interior cabin. Looking at the picture it looks like a regular balcony cabin until you get closer to the "window". The nightstand is the same as in the aft cabin.

Yes, it looks real.    Do you know if the virtual balcony "moves" in the same direction as the ship?  If not, folks could become disoriented?  The rest of your pictures are great and as others have said, the flowers are beautiful.

I'll take your weather over mine.  We have a tornado watch, possible hail, strong wind until Mon, 2am.  Hoping all will be quiet and safe.

Stay safe, Bonnie!  When we had our one bedroom condo years ago, the only place without a window for our tornado watch was in our closet.  Talk about close quarters!

Time to settle in with a Jefferson’s Ocean to watch the Bills play the Chiefs. This one has me nervous since the Chiefs have had the Bills number and Patrick Mahomes is, well, Patrick Mahomes. Good luck @Sea Dog  and any other Chiefs fans here.

I like KC and Mahomes but do not wish them good luck against Bills, should be a good game.

Second attempt to post.

Thank you Maryann,  When we first moved to TX we had a Tornado Warning, not a watch.  Jack was traveling and my daughter was in HS.  My sister called to be sure I was ok and not freaking out.  I was!   My daughter then called to tell me school was in lockdown and they were all safe.  It turned very dark, got deathly still and when I heard the tornado siren go off I ran to our interior powder room, no window. By that time the TV also had siren going with message  to seek shelter immediately.

I stayed in that powder room with the door closed for I don't know how long.  I heard another siren but had no idea that it was an all clear signal.  What did I know?  I was a new immigrant from NY!  When I timidly opened the door, I was greeted with beautiful sunshine, no damage. Sort of like when Dorothy opened the door to Oz.

Tornado had hit a bit South of us.  Much damage.  And to think I moved to TX, in part,  for the mild weather!!

First off, TSOTD

I had to wear a bright color so Susan could find me easier. Today, we drove up to the Fall Festival at Peak N Peak ski resort in New York.

But first, we stopped for lunch along the way.  This part of the lunch they didn’t do too bad with.

I won’t show the picture of their Cuban sandwich special, unless you want to see what they thought one should look like on a hot dog bun. 🤷

The festival was crazy busy today.  Cars were parked both sides of the roadway, starting over a mile away.

After making our way from the spot we abandoned our car at the side of the road, refreshments were in order

I can confirm the hot fireball cider was tasty.  And, if anyone wonders what wine to pair with donuts, they have you covered.

There were thousands of people out to enjoy the festival, and we saw lots of Bills mafia shirts and Bills jerseys, since this isn’t that far from Buffalo.

And what festival isn’t complete without a giant canon to shoot pumpkins?

I know this video may only play on apple products, but it is the canon in operation

While Susan and one of her sisters went off to explore crafts, I explored the car show.  A few pictures from there

And, they even had a zip line running.  These are just some people we don’t know.

I’ve always felt Josh Allen would be the nemesis of the Chiefs. I felt going into this game that the bills would kick the Chiefs ass. They learned from their loss last year. They have improved as a team. The Chiefs are not improved. Mahomes is a great QB but he’s human and is feeling the pressure. The Bills are the better team and I predict they will win a super bowl this year .

I worked as an accountant at SWA for over 12 years, from 1997 to 2010. I went through 9/11 with SWA. It was an amazing place to work. I flew everywhere (for free) with them and have the best memories. The only reason I left was because I gave birth to our son and stayed home with him for 6 years.

It saddens me greatly to see how badly they are struggling this year. We flew on SWA to Pensacola in June and yep, our return flight was cancelled at the last minute. It’s a shame that’s still a huge issue, no doubt due to the vaccine mandate.
