Possibly

I think it was mentioned in this thread already but RCL's new Wonder of the Seas (inaugural is this Friday) suffered from a similar lack of info.  Some of the venues were not known at all until the ship was handed over to the cruise line.

I agree that it is rather unusual.  It opens the way to all kind of speculations.

Are there issues with the supply of equipment to furnish the ship?  Delays in the delivery or construction?  Who knows.

But we have to admit one point:  Although people here on this forum are eager to get responses, the facts are that it doesn't prevent people to book cruises on the Prima.

Only 2 cabins available in the Haven

Only 1 cabin available in the Suite category  (it was not there recently so mostlikely a cancellation)

No Club balcony cabins available

In the Balcony category, under 40 cabins available.

NCL doesn't feel any urge to provide additional information because our sailing is almost sold out

I also checked 3 other cruises prior and after our cruise and the situation is similar.

For the restaurants, I am expecting more information before the end of march, as Haven and suite passengers will be allowed to make restaurant reservations sometimes in April for the inaugural cruise.  Difficult to book a dinner at Cagneys if we don't know if there will be a Cagneys restaurant on board.

A little birdie told me that NCL would be releasing more info on Prima class on 3/10/22😍. Stay tuned

I've noticed that NCL and Celebrity new builds feature a bow that is raked backwards towards the ship rather than the tradition bow.  Anyone know why?

A quick Google search reveals several articles, here's one

RCCL's new Wonder of the Seas begins sailing this week and only just now have revealed some final details of the ship.  Celebrity Beyond launches in May and still has areas marked as "to come".  carnival did the same with the launch of the Mardi Gras.

Everyone just needs to TAKE A BIG DEEP BREATH AND FREAKIN RELAX!!!!!!!!

Yikes!!

Are all of these ships, including the Prima, being built at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri (sp)?

The NCL 'away' class ships were all built in Germany, Meyer Weft (sp) and new information was pretty constant during the builds.

It may be a PR marketing thing; I do know that the Italian shipyard had issues in the past so maybe they just keep things closer to the vest.

IDK, just an idea.

Have a good day all!

If this is something, on the 2th, one of the vlogger says he'll be on the Prima in a few days.

NCL has a FB group for travel agents that is promising a "Norwegian's next Prima class reveal" on March 10th.   I hope this will help fill out those blank spots we see on the plans🤞

That has been shared in many NCL fan FB groups.

Should we start a countdown to March 10?

Hello friends! It's been a while.. and eh, 2020 did not start very well for the golden era of cruising. :classic_mellow: Hopefully all of you are okay and thoughts and prayers for those who are challenged in these tough times.

And as we all quietly or anxiously await any positive news about our shared passion, cruising.. and with almost no news about Leonardo class I still had to start a Live! thread!

Because, I present you... the first inside render of Leonardo! (hopefully it's right, it sure looks like an end product and not the artist gone wilde render stuff and plus all the other links containing this photos seems to be poofed away..:classic_biggrin:)

My guess is that this is the Atrium, we can see a bar or Guest Relations/Shorex desk, perhaps there's an internet pc there on that table. There's an elevator bank on the lower right corner, etc.

Ugh! This looks like a bad hybrid of "Star Wars" and a hospital.  It's bland-looking, with too much white and too many curved lines. Or if you saw the 2005 movie "The Island" (Ewan McGregor, Scarlet Johansen), it looks like the clone-breeding facility the characters lived in.

Cruise ship lobbies need to be a mixture of grand and quirky, like a soaring atrium with a lit-up Avant Garde sculpture.  Not this.  Wise up, NCL!

Can you post a link to your source for that?  😄

This reminds me of the interior of the TWA terminal-now hotel at JFK - classic and timeless IMO.  And if you still hate it, remember that there is a whole sculpture garden outside.

There, I posted it. 😀  And if you thinking "What the heck did this guy post?", it's HTML code used to create links.  Just some geeky humor here.

@JamieLogical

Based on your laughter reaction, it looks like you got my joke.  Funny how it was my IT job in 2012 that pushed me into taking up cruising in the first place.  I was working an obnoxiously stressful IT job, where I kept getting calls in the middle of the night multiple times a week.  So I wanted to take a vacation where not a damn soul could reach me.  And here I am today. 😊

Has anybody found deck plans for the Prima?  We are booked in a cabin on deck 9, while going back to check on it, I could not find the plan.  I think we booked it thinking it would be close to things we want (we like to book on deck 8 or 9 on Breakaway class so we are short walk to the Oceanfront - specifically deck 8 forward on Bliss/Escape to be close to The District Brewhouse!).

That's not as bad as "Robert'); DROP TABLE Passengers;--". 😁😉😱

SELECT deck_plans

FROM NCL_ships

WHERE ship_name = 'Prima'

AND status = 'finalized' ;

No records returned. Presumably that will change on the 10th?

I may be taking a data analytics course sequence through the end of the year, with the first day of the third class being September 22. That is also embarkation day for the Prima transatlantic. If you see a short cranky woman wandering around the ship while muttering about R syntax, that'll be me.

Not an official one from NCL per se, but it has all the cabins at least and the stuff that has been confirmed for sure.

Or this option which has better renderings to give you context: https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Norwegian-Prima&deck=17

So no theater, trademark specialty restaurants, casino, entertainment venues, bars, and no buffet or mdr? No spa?

I just don't like that my choices to eat at are Los lobos, the Q, Onda, The Local, and some street food? Is that enough for 3000+ people.

Maybe this has been discussed already, but I don't have time to read through 100+ pages...

Having a room by that water slide will be awful. Who thought that up?

Then can you imagine the chair hogs by the pools? Looking at the photos, the seating is very limited.

On my previous post, I just saw on the website that they will have a 3 story thester/club. Can't wait to be blinded by strobes.

So far there is an Improv comedy club, Syd Normans Pour House, Spa Cabins (so a spa) and of course there will be a casino. Many, many venues have yet to be announced but hopefully that will change by the end of this week.
