I like them too. On Harmony we also received a lovely little green box of chocolates in the cabin, I liked them too 😁

Those are awesome. I think that is typically one of the D+ tier gifts

If Royal does SUCH an amazing job, why is everyone posting JUST dessert pictures from the WJ??  Seriously, new cruisers need to know and yes I have new photos.

Umm, plenty of non dessert photos. Mine were skewed that way for a while because I had a mini section on a midnight dessert buffet.

The only thing  expect out of this thread is people to share 'their' actual experiences. Sorry if I wasn't abundantly clear. My bad

You absolutely just left a POSITIVE food comment on my thread - and yes we're allowed to do that and I thumbed you up rather than telling you to go away! Seriously we can't share photos on a RCL photo thread??

Big difference on this thread is people are sharing their own photos.  You look stuff up on the Internet and post it - not quite the same thing.

Edit - Sorry - I just noticed this point was made by someone else.

No WJ photos from me.  Just my photos, not random internet photos.

I love these wings in the WJ. I haven’t seen them when the ship has a Playmakers. (Oasis).

We saw 2 big pans of wings (can't remember which flavors) on Serenade a few years ago, and they were quite good!  Now if they would have had the old WJ fries with the crispy coating nearby, would have been perfect!

@A&L_Ont DH could have eaten these burgers the entire time on Symphony and been completely happy.  Well, that and El Loco Fresh.  Give me Izumi and Italian all day long.  I prefer the menu at Giovanni's but that Ultimate Garlic Bread at Jaime's is to die for.  I need to take food porn pics.... :classic_blush:

A number of people on CC have expressed doubt that you have ever been on a Royal cruise, and when you don’t recognise obvious dishes you are reinforcing this opinion. Seriously.

I just wanted to chime in on that statement. The last time we were on an RCI ship in 2019, we couldn't even get into the WJ for breakfast or lunch because of long lines. We had dinners in MDR and stopped by WJ afterwards to look - we were not impressed at all. And before that, the last time we were on an RCI ship was in 2014, so - NO, I don't remember or recognize any of the WJ food items, despite being on several RCI cruises.

The food on RCI ships was not memorable enough for me, aside from the almond cookies in the Promenade cafe on Indy, some items in the Park cafe and a Tiger shrimp dinner in MDR. Was MDR and buffet food good and hot? Yes. Was any of it outstanding? Nope. Not for us.

I am definitely a very food oriented person, and I can tell you about many wonderful MDR and buffet dishes we had on Regal Princess starting back in 2016.

We don't do specialty dining because I don't want to pay extra on a cruise. If I wanted to pay extra, we'll just go out and eat locally. I am sure some specialty dining is wonderful and great, but by far the majority of the cruises doesn't go for it.

A few food pics from the Allure.  Goodies in our room on Sail Away Day.

Nifty little machine that makes the rolls.  Chef said that always gets the most ooh's and aah's and one of the easiest things in the galley :classic_biggrin:20161008_113727.thumb.jpg.687437afe899914db4dd6e28c2abeaed.jpg

Allure's WJ was nothing like that. If it had been, I would be in heaven.

That was during a President's Cruise.  We were on Symphony a couple of month's after that cruise and while nice, it certainly was not quite that impressive.  It was kicked up a notch being a specialty cruise.  But, that was probably much more expensive than the normal WJ cruise fare.

One difference is that you are not starting thread after thread bashing RCL food and services.  The food may not have been to your liking or that memorable and that is fine, everyone has their own opinion.  Even the same ship, cruise to cruise, the food can differ.

Definitely not! We love RCI, even if the food is not all that memorable. Actually, the not so memorable food was the only reason we switched to Princess for a while*. 🙂 And I must say - MDR and buffet service has always been simply outstanding!

*But now our kid is older and Princess has nothing in terms of kid activities aside from a kid's club, so we are back to  RCI for funsies!
