stipmom Posted November 29, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Are they noisy? Seems like a lot of restaurants/bars on those decks
Starry Eyes Posted November 29, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2021 The bars and cafes are nicely separated from the ocean view balconies. I do not think you well be bothered by noice from them; I have not been in cabins on other ships in that class.
molly361 Posted November 29, 2021 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2021 I prefer deck 6 2 decks up to Central Park- 1 deck down to the Promenade 2 decks down to the casino- no noise issues
reallyitsmema Posted November 29, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Another fan of deck 6. We can easily go up or down the stairs two decks to get what we need. Never had any issue with noise, even with a cabin a couple of cabins down from the elevator lobby.
bajathree Posted November 29, 2021 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2021 (edited) My favorite deck on Oasis class is deck 8....thats unless you have the fortune to be staying on deck 17. Edited November 29, 2021 by bajathree
Rare cruisinghawg Posted November 29, 2021 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Vote for deck 8....great reason to stroll through CP on the way "home" for the night.
Norwich Cruiser Posted November 29, 2021 #7 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Definitely deck eight . Central Park The Trellis Bar Park Cafe and a stroll through Central Park back to your staterooms in the evening certainly works for us.
Rare binro01 Posted November 29, 2021 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Love deck 8. Getting up in the AM to head to the CP Cafe to get some coffee for the wife and I to bring back to the room with some treats is a huge bonus for us.

time4u2go Posted November 30, 2021 #10 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Definitely 6. You are within 2 decks of the theater, the ice rink, the casino, the MDR, the promenade (upstairs and downstairs), the fitness center, the spa, the boardwalk, the aquatheater, and central park. renza Posted November 30, 2021 #11 Share Posted November 30, 2021 We always go for deck 9. It’s easy for Central Park and boardwalk.
cynt Posted November 30, 2021 #12 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Deck 8. Easy access to CP Cafe can't be beat for breakfast, lunch and snacks!
djyellowsub Posted November 30, 2021 #13 Share Posted November 30, 2021 My preference is deck 6. I use to love deck 8 and still do, but 6 aft is convenient to the Promenade, Central Park, and Boardwalk which are places I frequent. No problem with noise.

MD_Dan Posted November 30, 2021 #17 Share Posted November 30, 2021 I can't speak for balconies but Deck 8 is the way to go. We were on Symphony two weeks ago and the front of the ship. We were 20' from the elevator and I was also concerned about the noise. But we heard nothing! When we opened the cabin door, we could hear muffled voices but the cabin must have great sound insulation. The reason you want deck 8, it the following: - The ways to get from the front to the back of the ship are the pool deck (16); Central Park (8); and the Promenade (5). - Of these choices, the best is Central Park (deck 8). If you are going from your deck 6 cabin, say on the front of the ship, to a destination at the aft of the ship, you either walk down the boring long hallway ... Or take elevator/stairs to decks 5, 8, or 16; cross to the aft; and then take the aft elevators to your destination. But if you are staying on Deck 8, you save time with the ability to cross at Central Park and then take the aft elevators.
noppy Posted December 2, 2021 #18 Share Posted December 2, 2021 We love being on deck 8. Deck 8 spans the entire ship. We love walking back to our cabin through central park. In the morning, I take my RC coffee mugs to the Park cafe to get coffee in the morning. We have never been bothered by any noise.
Bizzie07 Posted December 2, 2021 #19 Share Posted December 2, 2021 Definitely deck 8. I took a small tray with me and in the morning I would go through Central Park to the Cafe and collect breakfast for two and carry it back to the cabin. We were only a couple of cabins in from the elevators....great location and didn't hear a thing.
coaster Posted December 2, 2021 #20 Share Posted December 2, 2021 (edited) This topic helped me so much. I usually book the lowest deck on any ship with balcony cabins facing the ocean. Like being as close to the ocean as possible. Booked Allure the other day on deck 6 for April like we had on the Harmony a couple of years ago. Called today to change to deck 8 on Allure forward as I love walking through Central Park. Think it cost me about $60 extra total as prices went a little higher in a week or two. Makes so much sense to want to walk through Central Park to your cabin. Indoor venues are not my thing as I love the smaller ships without 'indoor malls' which deck 6 would of been closer to.
