Wife wondered if Princess still gives out the tote bags?

Most have reported no more totes.

I think it depends on the ship and if they have any left.

 

Ask your cabin steward and look on the closet top shelf.

There were none in our particular cabin on the Island 2 weeks ago...but I saw that the steward's cart had quite a few hanging on it.  I imagine we could have simply asked for one...but we have more than we would ever need.

Wife said if she could not find her stash of Princess  totes she would bring a Holland tote.😁

I've got at least 40 squirreled away. I use them for the grocery store. Never them carry on or off the ship.

I just returned from shopping at Trader Joes.  Took 3 bags in (2 Princess).  On the Grand a few weeks ago.  I asked my steward...Nope, none on the ship.

 

I "remember" the days that suites had those nice canvas bags.

We had one on the closet shelf on the Regal in February.  When we used to cruise in a WS we had those nice canvas bags.  Someone who used to post here often we met on a few of our cruises and played trivia with them.  The wife had a canvas tote which they had won years ago during trivia.  They don't give out prizes like that anymore!

They do not currently have them on the Ruby Princess.

It should be in ALL cabins.  It has been a hit and miss since the restart.

They’re in all cabins, when they have them. They’re kind of similar to those cheap reusable grocery bags you can get in most stores. We found ours folded and clipped to a hanger under the laundry bag in our room. I ended up using it for carting beach towels and sunblock around. I didn’t mind getting sand all over it.

Longtime Princess cruiser here.  Went on my first Celebrity cruise a couple of weeks ago.  One of the things they have you was a tote bag, but instead of it being like the Princess ones that look and feel cheap, this one was better material, and zippered, as well as had a smaller zippered bag inside.  Very nice. 

 

And I get cutbacks at some level, but I'm guessing those tote bags cost them maybe 10 cents a piece in bulk.

One cruise I took my Royal Caribbean backpack and cap.  When leaving ship for shore excursion Princess staffer said, I don’t think that’s allowed on this ship,  lol

DH has a collection he uses in the garage for holding stuff.  If they stop with the bags, it will be one more indication of how cheap they can get.  We got a nice plastic one (more sturdy) on our last HAL trip.

Celebrity bags are much better quality.  Only good Princess bag I received was on World Cruise 2019.  Good strong bag with zip.  I keep thinking I have used all my blue Princess bags and magically another one pops up from the back of the cupboard.  I think they are breeding in there.

I had one hanging in the closet on the Island a couple weeks ago.
