Good morning to all,

Welcome back to Rich and an huge thank you to Sandi and Roy for filling in while you enjoyed your World Cruise.

i like the quote from Seinfeld.

Interesting collection of days.  I like trees.  Never had sea monkeys, i will find something purple to wear today.  I sure like peace,

i will skip the meal since i tend to stay away from spicy.  The wine is way above my budget.

Drink sounds good.

Joan of Arc was a courageous lady and sure deserves her place among the saints.

Well, Jim did well all day, but had a bad night.  I think the area of the surgery was hitting the pillow and causing pain.  He finally decided to sleep in the recliner.  After an hour of getting him settled, he finally fell asleep and is still there,

I was very tired and tried to get to bed at 10 pm.  in reality I didn’t get there until 1 am trying to settle DH.

Hopefully tonight will be better.

I have a few errands to run today and then do some stuff around the house.  Don’t know whether i have a cleaning lady or not.  New dryer coining tomorrow,.  Finally.

Thank you all again for all the prayers and well wishes for DH yesterday.,

Prayers for all on the Cares List and Cheers to those celebrfating.

Have a great day everyone.

God Bless,

Terri

I haven't posted in awhile since it has been a rough recovery from my back surgery but finally feeling a bit better so you can take me off of the care list.

Rich I loved following you on the world cruise, welcome back. Sandy thanks for doing this while Rich was away. Sorry Rem lost his game but you have a wonderful happy event coming up - high school graduations are so meaningful.

Sending healing thoughts to everyone who needs them and for ill pets as well.  I hope Vanessa is finally feeling a bit better and can get out and about.

Glad to hear you are doing better and will take you off the list.

Thank you to all who make the Daily a special place

I will be wearing purple in honor of World Peace Day.  Here is a portion of what I believe is a Hindu prayer.

May there be peace in celestial regions.
May there be peace on earth.
May the waters be appeasing.
May herbs be wholesome, and may trees and plants bring peace to all.

Good morning everyone!    It is another beautiful day in SW Michigan.   We are going to the casino this afternoon as we were all prepared to leave for the cabin today.   We are kind of in a waiting game.  Our casino habit got a little bit worse having on conveniently downstairs on the Volendam.

Thanks for the Daily Reports Rich.   I have a lot of purple to wear as that is one of the Ravens colors.   Jerry Seinfeld's quote is so true, keep moving!    @dfish Today's recipes are all winners, @summer slopetoday's cocktail looks very tasty but probably another I would drink too fast.   @cat shepard Today's wine is truly excellent.   We used  to buy it in the old days when we could buy it for $45 per bottle on futures.   We have a few from the 90s still in the cellar and the only time we usually drink one is on a BHB.

@Cruzin Terri I am sorry your husband had a bad night sleeping.   @smitty34877 so happy to read Tana's aid is working out.  @superoma thanks for the Cares and Celebrations Reports.   Prayers for all needing them and the people of Ukraine.

Time to go outside and water the plant sale  plants I dug up the last few days, they are going to our Farmer's Market booth on Saturday.   Have a great Tuesday!  Nancy

Good morning Dailyites. Rich welcome home. Thanks for keeping the ball rolling while you were away.

Sandi did an OUTSTANDING job! Thank you!

Prayers being sent for all those needing those extra hugs. Glad to hear Tana's aid is working out and tupper10 coming off the list. Get well!

Congratulations to all on our celebration list. Will raise a glass to you tonight. Great photo of Sharon and Craig in Alaska.

Remember at school fairs when you would toss a ping pong ball and hope to get it into a fish bowl? I won a few guppies and cared for them and loved them. I don't believe I've ever seen a seahorse but you can buy them on Amazon.

Today is a haircut and my turn for a dental checkup.

A slight chance of thunderstorms but looks good for the rest of this week.

Thank you to all our F & B ladies.

Have a great day. Be kind.

Thank you Rich, thank you Debbie, thank you Eva, thank you Ann, and thank you Dixie for all your work. And thank you everyone for being here!

@StLouisCruisers Thank you Sandi for starting us off each day these past few weeks!

@aliaschief Happy Anniversary!

We are considering a cruise next year before our 2024 Rotterdam Transatlantic that calls on Tunis. I'm trying to plan an additional cruise (or two) in the Med plus about a week in Italy before heading North to The Netherlands. A lot of variables which include how long we will be gone enter into the equation. #1 consideration at that point  will be Sam. The vet will see him next month on a home visit because it is too hard on him to get into the car now. He has good days like today where he is peppy but then a day like last week where he fell down a portion of our stairs to the lower level.

Stay Safe!

A Purim Carnival is a typical event in Jewish schools. I once ran one in a school where fishing for live goldfish (with a net) was an activity, and any child who caught one got to keep it. One mother approached me that morning to say that her children were absolutely not allowed to win any goldfish. They weren't very hard to catch, and her children had brought some home in prior years. They still had all of them and they were growing larger and larger.

The last time I set up a fishing game, it was with plastic fish that floated in a tub and could be caught with a magnetic lure. The kids didn't get to keep those.

Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily!  Welcome back @richwmn, it's good to have you here again.  You left the Daily in good hands with @StLouisCruisers; Sandi did a great job in your absence.

I do love trees, as they are essential to our lives on this planet - we should be doing more to plant them everywhere.  I mentioned before that we had sea monkeys - they were gross.  I've only got a couple of purple items, one of which is a heavy sweater, so that won't work for today; I'll have to see where my purple t-shirt is and wear it for peace today.

We've got another beautiful day ahead - clear blue skies, just a hint of a breeze, and hot temperatures predicted for this afternoon.  Yesterday we reached our predicted high, and today's going to be even warmer with a temp of 31C (88F) expected by mid afternoon.  Definitely happy we installed A/C a few years ago, as the summers are definitely getting hotter, and the heat is coming earlier than before.

@aliaschief wishing you and Sue a very Happy Anniversary and many more to come!

@smitty34877 I'm happy to hear the new aide is working out well, giving you a reprieve from some of the responsibilities you've shouldered.

@Cruzin Terri sorry DH had such a rough time getting settled - I know it's as hard on the "support staff" when that happens.

DH and his son are heading out to the son's acreage to check on things and do the first mowing of the year.  Thankfully there's a ride on mower there - unless it's been stolen - that I'm sure DH will enjoy doing some of the mowing with.  The one thing they have to be on the alert for though, is ticks.  I know as soon as they come home, DH will be stripping down and doing a full body check to make sure he hasn't had any little hitch hikers come back with him.

I'm pretty sure we'd enjoy today's menu suggestion, but don't have any shrimp in the house.  Because it's so warm, I think I'll just make up a small charcuterie board that we can enjoy in the pergola tonight.  And wine.

Prayers for everyone who is in need, cheers to all with celebrations.

Smooth Sailing!  ☺️☺️☺️

Gerry

Ah, tree-hugger day! I tried once to raise brine shrimp but none of them hatched. I don't think that I have any purple clothing, and if the purpose is to attract extraterrestrial aliens, I'm not sure that it's a good idea.

No shrimp for me. Pineapple again! I visited the Joseph Phelps winery in the 1970s, when it was new, and like the wine, but I think that this one is above my means. I haven't been to Tunis but in Los Angeles I had friends who were from there.

Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach

Welcome back Rich. I really enjoyed following your blog. Sandi did a great job in your absence. I dont think any of us really understand the amount of time and dedication that goes into this thread everyday. I really appreciate everyone's efforts.

Never had any sea monkeys but I do remember them being advertised. My brother wanted them, but our mother said no.

@superoma You can take me off the Care List. I am getting stronger everyday. I know i is because of everyones prayers. Thank You!

@aliaschief A very Happy Anniversary to you and your bride. May you have many more.

We are booked for the 2nd time on the Grand SAmerica/Antartica for the fall. 1st time cancelled due to covid.  I am not sure that I will be fully released. DH doesnt think it is the best time to go, because it is at the  very beginning of their summer.  He thinks the weather may be too variable. Not sure what to . I know a first world problem for sure.

Stay safe and enjoy today

Just a quick hello. Packing up and hitting the road. A four plus hour drive is ahead and not what we usually do in celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary.

A very happy 31st anniversary to you both 🥂

So sorry to hear about your DH’s difficulty sleeping last night, Terri and your poor subsequent poor night 😔. I hope things are much better tonight for you both 🤞

Smart of our DH, to be cautious, Gerry.  That grass is probably really tall which makes it much more attractive to them and easier for them to hitch a ride.

Thanks for all the votes of confidence.  Now that DH is up I found out that after I fell asleep, he woke up and was awake most of the night.  He went in search of Tylenol and couldn’t find it and didn’t want to call me.  So he had a worse night than I thought.

After I change his dressing, he is going back to bed to try to get some sleep.  I am going out to run some errands. Need to go to the wine store, Staples and Home Depot.

Then back home to do what needs to be done around here.

More later.

Terri

Good morning all!

I love most trees, but not the Cottonwoods that are in the woods behind us.  Thankfully we've had the most problematic ones cut down.  I remember seeing ads for the Sea Monkeys but never had any.  I'll have to see if I have any purple to wear.  The drink and meal sound good (would have to cut down on the spice) but will pass on the red wine.  We haven't been to the port.

We got home in the early evening yesterday, the flight was good and short.  While we were gone the area had quite a heat wave -- around 90F.  But it's cooler today and I plan to get outside and do some deadheading and general gardening.  I see that my seedlings did great, I bet my neighbor checked on them.  I had put them in pans of water knowing about the weather forecast.

Today is our oldest grandson's 10th birthday.  So hard to believe he's that old already!  The family will all be meeting for dinner to celebrate, and then  the party will be on Saturday.  We also need to get groceries -- the cupboards are bare!

@1ANGELCAT I hope Fluff is doing better today.  It's always so hard when our fur babies aren't doing well.

@aliaschief Happy 31st anniversary!

Good morning. Sunny today and it is going to be warm - up into the low 70's maybe. My job for today is to pack the car and get myself ready to head out to the dog show  in Farmington tomorrow.  After yesterday, I am feeling rather bummed about the whole thing. Will be back Sunday night. The dogs are boarding so I have to pack for them too. Have the painter coming in to do some work Thursday and Friday while I am gone.

Hope Fluff is improving and Terri, that your DH gets some much needed rest.

Off to start organizing as best I can.... my allergies are driving me nuts.

Welcome back, Rich.  I will miss your live from thread, but it's good to have you at the helm of the Fleet/Daily again.  Roy @rafinmd and Sandi @StLouisCruisers did a good job filling in, and we all appreciated their efforts to keep this wonderful place going.

Good morning from another cloudy, windy day in central Texas.  We received more rain overnight.  It is 69F now and heading toward a high of 77F before heading back into the 80s tomorrow.  It looks like we will be rain free until Friday night, and then most of the rain will begin Sunday or Monday.  No telling what will actually happen.

Trees are nice until they are too thick and limit the view, and until they drop their leaves, which seem to wind up in our port.  I remember the ads for sea monkeys, but never wanted them.  I put the shirt I planned to wear up and got out my purple shirt.  I'm hoping for world peace, but I doubt if any aliens will come to earth in my lifetime.

Jerry Seinfeld's quote is very true.  We need to keep moving both physically and mentally.

We'll pass on the meal, but will have shrimp creole for dinner tonight with our wine.  We'll also pass on the drink.  The wine sounds nice, but the price is a bit high.

We have not been to Tunisia -- yet.

Joan of Arc was a brave woman who gave her life for her beliefs.

@tupper10  I'm glad you are feeling better.  Recovery from back surgery is not quick as DH and I have found out.  Still, we can see progress.

@smitty34877  Terry, I'm glad Tana's aide is working out so well.  It's good you have some help and relief during the week.

@Cruzin Terri  Terri, I'm sorry your DH had such a rough night.  I hope tonight is better and that he keeps the Tylenol handy just in case.  If time runs short when you do your errands, my suggestion is to stop at the wine shop first.  😉🍷

@Heartgrove  Jack, I hope Sam has more good days than bad days.  I know you will make the decision on cruising that is best for all of you.

@cunnorl  Charlene, that's good that you are getting stronger daily.  Like Jack @Heartgrove, I know you and your DH will make the decision about the cruise that is best.

@1ANGELCAT   You and Fluff are in my thoughts.  I hope there was significant improvement overnight.

@Cruising-along  Welcome home, Carolyn.  HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY  to your grandson.

@durangoscots  Safe travels tomorrow.  It's a shame about the shooting in Farmington.

Good morning!

Welcome back @richwmn! Happy Anniversary @aliaschief and @DWAliaschief.

We have a slightly cooler day today - mid to upper 70's which is still quite warm for the Pacific Northwest.

DH got moved up to Sedro-Woolley yesterday but somehow his wheelchair didn't make the trip. How that happened is up for wondering as he should have been sitting in it! I understand that at the old facility there were two different services there to pick him up and the one that got there first was the one that should have been canceled. They had him loaded up when the other service arrived. I guess, from the driver, there was some talking, arguing, etc. and then things worked out. However DH's wheelchair didn't make the transfer. Not sure if that means a drive south for me or if they'll get it to us. Another mystery today.

Other than that I'm now down to a 15-17 minute commute (2 stoplights and 3 stop signs going in and 2 lights and one sign coming home). The staff was so welcoming yesterday with lots of hugs and "welcome back" comments. I supply them with cookies and took in chocolate chip - the dozen were gone by the time  I headed for home so more going in today. DH is settled in and that's the main thing.
