I am now wondering if it is worth paying extra to get it back more quickly.

I definitely think it is.    I paid at the Post Office, they checked it and found a small error which would have held things up if I had sent it. It came back very fast too. Well worth the bit extra.

I did a reply but it's flown off somewhere!!!!!

Definitely worth the extra to have it checked at the Post Office.  I made a small mistake which was rectified but could have held it up.  Passport arrived quickly too.  Well worth it

Has anyone renewed their passport recently if so how long did it take to get ii back ?

I just thought to check DH's passport because I remembered that last time we renewed his was slightly later than mine and I discovered that his needs renewing before our next cruise according to P&O's website information which suggests that despite having over 4 months before expiry when we sail it is 2 days short of P&O requirement.  I am now wondering if it is worth paying extra to get it back more quickly.

We renewed our passport back in april. Went in the max sp shop and they did everything. Didn't pay for fast track but mine came back 4 days later. I was gobsmacked. My husbands came back 4 weeks later. Mine went to a different office to his (his went to london).

I just had an interesting email from P&O that made me go onto their site to check our booking for later this year.  They are offering us a deal that is actually £900 more for the fare for the same grade cabin but we would get an extra £125 each obc.

Do they really think that anyone will fall for this sort of offer ?

This is our second day in Rouen, and will be in my to five favourite ports. The weather is good as an added bonus. Great cruise so far, no mention of the bug that has troubled the last two cruises but lots of spraying and cleaning ongoing with the gym and swimming pools still closed.

Glad to see your enjoying your cruise Phil. before taking up cruising we used Brittany Ferries

and used to go to Rouen for the New year staying overnight and celebrate the New year

sailing back down the river ,just in time to hit UK waters /time and do it all again .

Two New years in one year made for one hell of a hangover !

Hope you enjoy your remainder of your cruise .

We have been to Rouen at least 8 times often have used City as a stopping off point on our drives to more southern parts of France.

We love wandering around the medieval streets and along the banks of the Seine.

If she gets a chance, I recommend the Tresco Abbey Gardens, which is where we are today, on Spirit of Adventure

Out of interest had a look and we were 2008! Just before our first cruise on Ocean Village 2. We didn't venture on to the PO board though as it frightened me to death. The arguments about the dress code got quite ..err... heated and were the stuff of legend with the OV board members. It did feel a bit stuffy and rather posh over here. What happened ?????? 😉

It looks as if you are in the Scilly Isles, the Op was referring to Sicily, Italy.

We are on the same cruise as you next month.how is it?

Went there a couple of years ago.  Wonderful place.  I spent a couple of days in the Scillys and thought they were a hidden gem.  On the list for going back.
