She certainly was extremely generous to her tour staff!

According to People magazine, the singer has doled out $55 million in bonuses to every single person on the tour — including caterers, dancers, choreographers, hair and makeup teams, lighting and audio staffers — all the people who do the bulk of work on a huge, technically difficult production like “Eras” but rarely ...4 hours ago

The San Francisco 49'ers actually play in Santa Clara at Levi Stadium, where Taylor Swift played. The SF Bay Area is sort of like one big continuous city, that just encircles the Bay, with bridges here and there. ☺️

Each of her 50 truck drivers received $100,000.  Many have sent handwritten thank you notes saying it was life changing money.

From what I read that was quite possibly after tax.  I’ve read in a few places that the number was closer to $200K.  The truckers have also shown their appreciation with a horn salute when she departed the stadium after the concert. A g|ame changer for everyone.

Sounds like an improvement from years gone by. Was the fare on an official board and was it less than Infinity asks when you pre-book ($25pp).

How is the construction progressing at Infinity?

Yes. The round trip fare was $25 pp.

We did not pre book the day pass or transport since we were not sure what we would end up doing. We did think about Maya key and French key excursions after Turquoise bay was sold out, but ended up with our tried and tested Infinity.

Construction is kind of not there. Whatever they are currently constructing is marked off by tall aluminum fence with boards saying "Great things coming and thanks for putting up with us while we ....blah blah blah." Never heard any noise or anything being "constructed".

There were many families vacationing there and some we chatted with were very happy with the resort. Strangely many were from Texas, vacationing there.

Having just been with the littles it was breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner.

It's more frustrating when they just won't eat. Made my two year g/son home made burger and home made chips with salad and vegan cheese. He hardly touched it.

With his multiple allergies plus mum only allows him water during the day, it's hard to get the calories in him, though he has tons of energy

Last month, family members successfully walked the Larapinta Trail.  One of the great walks of Australia. 223km. Starts in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory and goes across the West MacDonell Ranges and finishes at Mount Sonder.  A challenging  walk with stunning scenery, flora & fauna that took them 20 days.  They did it themselves with pre-arranged food drops along the way.  I love the beauty of Central Australia and plan to do this as part of a paid walking group when I retire.

Met up with friends from college (50 years ago) yesterday

Here's a photo of us at college, I'm the one in the middle. Very '70s

Yesterday, we had all our grandkids at our house.  They decided they were going to make a movie, so they wrote some scenes, and I was drafted to be the cameraman, and had to edit and splice the scenes together.  It was pretty amusing.  Even Susan got drafted to play the part of a tv reporter.

This morning, we are picking up the other two and taking them to breakfast while my daughter has an appointment.

My grandson from here has to go to the school later today, because they want him in a video they are shooting for the school.  Maybe yesterday’s acting will help with his role today.

I woke up to bright sunshine, another 100+ day here in the Dallas Metroplex. 103-105 temps for the next 8 days.  We break the 100+ streak on Friday when the temp dips to 99.

My granddaughter was talking to her mother about her gymnastics class. She told her that someone in her class was better than her.  So my daughter shared this with her.

Then her brother said,  “yeah, but then there’s some leftover kernels at the bottom of the bag that never pop” 😂🤣

That boy is quick!

We did Maya Key last time. However I’ve found on Roatan the sand flees are so bad.  Was infinity ok?  No bites?  We are taking our kids and grands  on a cruise here in June.  I want to take them someplace they won’t get eaten alive.  I’ve been bitten so badly on water island off St Thomas that I had to visit the ship doc for steroids.

Anywhere on Roatan can have sand flies on a given day. That is to say you may have had them at Maya key last time but may not next. Some one may report none at Infinity but you may experience them. The other thing is in a party of 6 only 1 may get bites.

Probably the plus for Infinity you may spend more time at the pool and not on the beach unless you want to snorkel. We spend a lot of time in the pool at Maya Kay and have never been affected.

i am usually a magnet for bites but always apply bug spray wherever i go on Roatan  since it is a renowned problem and fortunately haven’t been affected. We did spend a day at Turquoise Bay once and the group next to us were badly affected while we were there.
