Good morning.  Thanks for the Report.

Cool and rainy here today.

I'm not a fan of basketball, not sure what code I need to learn, I like the saxophone.

Amusing quote.

I think I'll pass on the meal, drink and wine.  I haven't been to today's port.

Prayers for everyone on the Care List.  Cheers for all the celebrations.

Have a good day.

Good morning dailyites as the ship heads towards Half Moon Cay.  Thank you for the Daily Report.

We had our first subpar dinner last night.  Mostly repeats of prior dinners except they added liver. We all had chicken and it was ok. We didn't go to any shows last night, went to casino and won a little.

No plans for today that I know of.  No Sea View pool activities listed in the Daily. Looks like more cutbacks of free entertainment since our cruise earlier this year.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning.

Thank you for today's daily reports.

It is 50°F and partly sunny here.

Everything was fine today at my coronary heart disease appointment.

It is years since I played basketball.

Ladies learning code is a good initiative in Canada.

Prayers 🙏 for everyone who is unwell.

Bon voyage to all those due or currently cruising.

I hope everyone is safe and well and y'all have a great day.

Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie.  I think I'll leave celebrating today's days to others but Mexico's declaration of independence will be a cause for celebration to all with Mexican heritage.

I have a feeling today's quote is typical of Barry.  I have not been to Komodo Island.

The meal sounds interesting.  My alternative is Chilled Blueberry Soup, Sauteed Veal Tenderloin, and Strawberry Crisp as served on MS Prinsendam November 6, 2017.

I hope to leave the house a little after 11 today.

Good morning friends.  This morning we are sitting at 44F and will have more sunshine and a high of 75.  A great time for @SusieKIslandGirl to be visiting family in Georgia.  Thank you Rich @richwmn for today's Fleet Report and Daily.  I see you've been mixing things up a bit and titling your posts with the date first and the name second.  We don't want things getting stale and ho-hum!  A little change in our lives is a good thing!

Nice day to celebrate basketball 🏀 and the ladies learning code is great for the tech industry.  Hope the saxophonists out there are proud to celebrate this day, too.🎷  I think the quote is odd -- sorry Dave Barry.  I don't care for butternut squash so will skip the pasta.  Same for the banana drink, but would try the rose'.  Congrats to the Mexicans for their independence from Spain.  I appreciate all who post here daily especially Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope, and Ann @cat shepard for their F&B reports.

Prayers said as I walked my treadmill this morning for Mark and family -- may he RIP.  Also for my DB, Scott, friends Bob and Sandy coping with dementia.  In addition all here who are in need of prayers especially Vanessa @JazzyV, Tana and Baby Murphy.  Everyone hurting and healing are in our thoughts.  The Care list is still long but I think we can conquer it!  Prayers for those at war and the hostages, in fact all innocents who are caught up in this fighting.🙏  But let us celebrate all who have happy events in their lives, and those who are enjoying cruising right now.  Many are heading out soon for their cruises and we wish everyone safe travels. 🚢  Thanks to Vanessa @JazzyV for her fine job compiling the lists each day and thank you also for mentioning Mark's passing and Scott moving to a facility near their home.  He and Susan will be grateful for that, I know.

The port today is a long one,  Pulau Komodo Island, East Nusa Tenggara Indonesia.  Let's just say Komodo Island, Indonesia for short!   This was our port once before on June 6, 2021 and I will post that link for you.  I have not been there before so can't show photos but I bet some of you can!

Hoping all of you have a wonderful, safe and well day!

Thanks for our Monday Daily, Rich

and thanks to Ann, Dixie, Debbie & Vanessa.

I know many who will celebrate Basketball day and the saxophone is a beautiful instrument.  I was a tad confused by National Ladies Learning Code day.  there must be a separate one in the United States?  In any case, it’s a great day to celebrate.  This is what I found when I googled it:

National Ladies Learning Code Day is an annual event held on the second Saturday in August, which aims to inspire and empower women and girls to learn and engage with technology. The day features coding workshops, mentorship opportunities, and networking events organized by Ladies Learning Code, a Canadian non-profit organization promoting digital literacy and skills development for women.”

LOL on the Barry quote.  Today’s meal sounds very interesting 👍. A huge day in history for all of our Mexican friends. 👍

Well, yesterday was a bust for my hostas and outside work.  Too rainy and damp so I ended up working downstairs in the basement to see what else I can get rid of.  Not a favourite job by any means but I did get 3 boxes emptied.  👍

IMG_1635.jpeg.dece3def5b2ec281406a3dc1b87ca54d.jpeg

Going to be too cold today, I fear for outside work unless things change dramatically so I will get some errands done and then attempt the biography info for DD DH’s bursary.  It’s all approved so now we have to do the web page and get the word out.  I will have some help tomorrow from the organization managing it but I want to be somewhat prepared.  Just glad I saved Jose’s CV.

With the cold weather coming on I feel like doing this 😉

IMG_1164.thumb.jpeg.79cd102fd9866dc38dd59066774a40b2.jpeg

Prayers for those on the Care list, those suffering losses, health issues, pain, worries and those that need them 🙏 Cheers to those celebrating and cruising 🥂

Good morning. It is 45 and partly sunny going up to 52 later. The dogs here are of course confused by the time change. I usually do what Jacqui @kazu does and gradually change their dinner time by fifteen minutes. I heard that the cats next door were irate.

Basketball has always been popular here . We have always been Celtics fans. My grandchildren are going to a game at the gaahden for their birthday next week. The recipe might be interesting to the carnivores as anything carbonara is popular. I have not been to the port but I am fascinated to read tales by those who have. Those Komodo dragons are scary to me. I don’t know if I would feel safe even being in their neighborhood, in spite of the guides that go with the travelers.I am afraid of the large raccoon that lives under our shed and won’t bring out the trash after dark.

Have a great day everyone.

Thank you for today’s FR & D, Rich! We made it down to 50 for the first time since Spring. Bindi was so confused by it getting dark so early last night, but loved walking in daylight this morning. My hands haven’t quite warmed up. Once the sun heats things up, it will be a gorgeous day.

Vanessa, thank you for keeping up with our happenings. Praying that you get some relief for you pain.

Gym, Bindi walks, chores and organizing a farewell “block party” for neighbors a couple houses down the street.  They move the Monday of Thanksgiving week, so we need to have the party this weekend.

Prayers for all who need our support. @smitty34877 Terry, praying for you, Tana, your families and your support teams.

@HAL Sailer Melissa, praying for you & DH. Don’t forget about you.

Cheers to all who are celebrating!

May we each find a reason to smile today.

2021 Fleur de Mer Rosé

What an amazing blend of grapes in this rosé. I do not normally gravitate towards them, but would definitely taste this one. Lots of consumer fans say it is very good - excellent! Widely available. Online prices start at $18.99.

Winemaker Notes

Crisp and inviting, Fleur de Mer Rosé captures the serene artistry of Provence’s idyllic, sun-washed coastal shores and fragrant, floral hillsides. At first swirl, the wine opens with generous aromas of white peach, citrus, wildflowers and herbs. A classic Provençal style, ripe raspberry, wild strawberry and crushed watermelon notes are complemented by layers of minerality and hints of sea spray. Delicate and softly textured on the mid-palate before a refreshingly crisp, memorable finish.

Blend: 37% Cinsault, 22% Grenache, 13% Mourvedre,13% Carignan, 7% Syrah, 3% Rolle, 5% Other Select Varieties

90James Suckling

Aromas of sliced strawberry, fresh herbs and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied. Bright, with a soft finish.

Good Morning, thanks for today’s daily fleet report.  Today should be a nice day with temperatures in the 50’s.  The kids were a bit more adamant about breakfast being served late today. I’ll pass on today’s meal suggestion, not a huge fan of butternut squash.  This morning promises to be busy with work and meetings.  I hope everyone has a good day today.

Happy Monday. Thank you for the Daily and Fleet reports.

Back from a weekend conference. Last bit of traveling for the year. Next year I will begin my countdown for my October 9th, 2024, cruise on Norwegian Sky from Quebec to Baltimore. Looking forward to a 10-day cruise this time.

Will be in the office today. Love that it is light in the morning but now I must get used to driving at night again. Oh well.

Thinking of all on the care list.

Celebrating all who are celebrating.

Have a safe and healthy day.

Good morning. It’s our last day of this wonderful cruise experience. Yesterday, we sat poolside and enjoyed just a relaxing day. We dined with a couple we met. Taylor is a Navy Academy graduate and a retired Navy Captain who was the skipper on Navy Destroyers. His classmate and dear friend was the late Senator John McCain. Needless to say there was some great conversations.

After dinner we headed poolside for the big dance party. Great music. Officers and entertainers all on dance floor, Every entertainer took turns singing with the band. We got up and danced and one of the entertainers stated “I had some great dance moves.” I can still cut a rug but just not as long as I used too.😊

Time to get moving and enjoy our last full day on the beautiful Seabourn Quest.  It has been an amazing cruising experience.

Thanks for Fleet Report and List. Bruce

@rafinmd Roy, safe travels today and Bon Voyage on the 12th. I always enjoy your great trip reports and I am so glad you can travel again.

@grapau27, I am also very happy to hear that your appointment went well.

@Quartzsite Cruiser, Lenda, Congratulations on the new motor home. I was glad to read that you will be traveling soon to your winter home. It sure sounds like a lot of work.

@JazzyV, Vanessa, I remain very concerned about the severity of your pain and the associated numbness and tingling. I wish something could be done to help soon.

Good morning,

It will be a nice day today with high at 73 degrees but turn cold at end of the week. I am lucky that Molly has already adjusted to the time change on her meals. She is such a sweet dog and goes with the flow.

Sandi, I am sorry to hear about your friend. It sounds like he gave it the good fight. Cancer is so unforgiving. We need some good news on our care list.

I am starting to work on my luggage forward for the GA. I want my bags packed before my surgery. They pick it up on December 14th.

Prayers and well wishes. Everyone have a great day.

Thank you very much Lorraine.  I agree about needing more good news with our Care list folks.🙏🤞

You will get there with the packing.  Just keep at it.  We shipped a bag one time when going on our Grand Med and Africa and it was so nice to not have to lug it to the ship.

Good morning, everyone!

It is a gray and gloomy start to the day today here in mid-Michigan.  It was raining earlier and may rain again this morning.  I'm glad I got those leaves done yesterday.  It is so quiet here without River.  When they got close to her house yesterday she told Sue she wished she didn't have to go back there.   It hurts to hear that from her and know that legally we can't do anything except be watchful.

Today's meal sounds good to me as I like butternut squash, but it is way to carb heavy, so I'll pass.  I will probably pull some chili out of the freezer for tonight.  https://www.halfbakedharvest.com/butternut-squash-pasta-carbonara/

The recipes are pretty similar, just some modifications to the seasonings.  https://www.aheadofthyme.com/winter-squash-carbonara-pasta/

You can add in some vegetables of your choice to cut the carbs a bit.  https://litecravings.com/butternut-squash-carbonara-with-bacon-and-sage/
