Mo Jito Posted November 10, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2021 Here we go! My sister Patti @MainePrincess and I arrived in Fort Lauderdale this evening, ready to board the incredible Enchanted Princess tomorrow morning. Based on a post on another social media site from our cruise director, Dan Falconer, we will have 1,000 passengers (capacity is 3,600) so should be enough passengers to feel like a party 🎉 but few enough that it shouldn’t feel crowded. Events were showing up in the JourneyView Activities Timeline last night, but they have disappeared now (at least on my Apple devices). However, as of last night show times appeared to be 7:30 and 9:00 for those who were wondering. We’ll do our best to post updates, but will be pretty focused on having a good time, so apologies in advance for any questions that go unanswered! Rare phonejock Posted November 10, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2021 All the best! DH & I were booked on the canceled inaugural cruise July 2020. I will be following this thread. Have a great time.
back to the islands Posted November 10, 2021 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2021 How exciting!! We will be on for Christmas so I will be following eagerly! Curious if people are doing private excursions at the ports, will there be a deck party, how is the food, any random thoughts, is Dolphin Deck the quarantine deck, etc. Hopefully y'all will post some pictures even if it's after you get back, but most of all hope you have lots of fun!! Bon Voyage!
Cruzinnana47 Posted November 10, 2021 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2021 Also following...anxious to read your posts. Cancelled our 11/30 cruise...moved up to 2022, but still very interested to see the ship sailing out of FLL tomorrow. Enjoy the inaugural excitement! Rare geoherb Posted November 10, 2021 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2021 Bon voyage! Dan Falconer was the CD on my Majestic cruise in August. He left that ship after that cruise. I thought he was good.
capriccio Posted November 10, 2021 #8 Share Posted November 10, 2021 (edited) DH and I were driving by Port Everglades this afternoon and what did we spy docked at Terminal 2? The Enchanted Princess! Sorry for the blurry picture - we were in his very low to the ground sports car (hence the great view of the railing), the car was moving, and I was trying to get the phone out of my purse before we passed. Everyone on the inaugural and following cruises take good care of her. We will be on her in mid-March with my 2 brothers and spouses. gardenbunny Posted November 10, 2021 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2021 So excited that she is finally having passengers - what a lonely beginning for a brand new ship that was delivered to Princess last September 2020!! How thrilling for these 1,000. I booked way back in 2019 and have rebooked 3 times due to Covid cancellations and change of deployment. Will finally be on board Dec 30 - Happy New Year!! Thanks for sharing whatever and whenever you can! We have booked a new floor to ceiling ocean view room on the front of ship - S105. Have a fantastic trip 🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳🛳

Rare Fa-Li Posted November 10, 2021 #13 Share Posted November 10, 2021 Bon Voyage! Excited to follow as we will be on her in 2023 (so far away!) Would love to know if you hear of soot issues on the aft balconies. Hoping they've finally fixed this issue.

Turk1 Posted November 10, 2021 #15 Share Posted November 10, 2021 Interested to know if the Amalfi Dining Room is open and if it is used for more "traditional seating" than the other DRs. Or do they all seem to be more ATD? We are on the Enchanted in March 2022.

The Fun Researcher Posted November 10, 2021 #18 Share Posted November 10, 2021 A favor to ask. Would you mind describing the mask protocols once on board? Curious how Princess will be handling mask requirements in common areas of the ship. We know about masks being required in elevators, casino, retail shops etc, but what about the larger centrums, hallways, lounges, etc… Thank you!!! The Medallion App seems so confusing and from reading posts it doesn’t seem to work - or times you picked no longer show up??? Rare DHP1 Posted November 10, 2021 #20 Share Posted November 10, 2021 I was told by Princess you won’t be able to get off the boat and walk around unless you are with a guided tour operator. The Countries you will be visiting all stated that you must be tested prior to entry. Be interested to see what happens with your cruise. I wonder how many guests are aware of this. All the best and enjoy your trip. I will be watching the Port Everglades webcam for your departure. In 3 months we will be on this ship..

This will be very helpful and lots of interested folks. So far, questions of interest from above include: 1. How are they doing the mask protocols on board? 2. Are you free to roam about the ports on your own? 3. If you are doing TD, how is the Traditional Dining working on board? Are you getting same table and same waitstaff all nights? Are you sharing tables? Do you have a combined dining party with Travel Companions in MC App DMW and you were placed together? How many of the three MDR's are being used for guests? ETA: I would add: 4. How's the outdoor crew smoking? Have they blocked off a section? 5. Edited November 10, 2021 by Steelers36

Thank you so much A general comment. on my Enhanted sailing in a few weeks. The Amalfi Dining room is the only one I can make a private table reservation for. Capri has only shared tables and the 3rd dining room does not show as an option. Either can be selected for 'Same time each day'.

I thought all Princess passengers were required to show proof of testing prior to initial embarkation. Does this mean that some countries will not accept Princess's "proof"?
