Oh no!  Happy he was not hurt!   That would freak me out.  😮

I felt bad for neighbors behind us.  They were having an outdoor easter party with kids running around for easter eggs, etc.  They all stopped to watch us.

He had just ordered new blade, new filters, etc to give it a tune up.  I tried to cancel order but it shipped on Saturday.

No idea how you get rid of a tractor.

Hoping wherever he buys new one from will take the burned up one away for us.

Happy Easter everyone.

The Easter Bunny made it here, and as of now Lucy hasn’t killed it yet. Last year, we won’t speak of. 🤦‍♂️

I assume this was Owen's basket? Any luck with the scratch offs?

I don’t think I would want this table under a sidewalk grate.

I wonder how long you have to leave your car on the street to get this nice coating?

In the south in April a few hours.  The pine pollen is nuts.

Crystal - For your consideration...the former owners of our new house left a short hand written welcoming note and a bottle of champagne in the house for us when we moved in.  We were very impressed and thought, "what nice people". Certainly not necessary, but something that we plan to also do when we sell our Ohio house.

My uncle lost his leg in WW2 at the age of 18. He was fitted for a new prosthetic every few years and since there was no use for the old ones they were stored in the attic. When he died at the age of 80 my aunt sold the house and left the legs.

That would be a very interesting find after moving in.  Let's take a look at what's in the attic...

More progress on the new house today.  We had a remodeling/handyman recommended to us and he replaced our cheap/noisy/underpowered master bath exhaust fan, and replaced the heavy chandelier in our front foyer.  VERY satisfied with his work.  He's x-military, as are a lot of people around here, and it shows.  Very professional and thorough.

Here's the chandelier that was in our front foyer.  It's dark and gothic looking.  Not what we want.

And here's the new version.  Much "lighter and airier".

Our dining room chandelier was similarly dark but was covered in a lot of crystals.  We took care of this one ourselves.  We meticulously removed all of the crystals, masked off the glass parts in the center, and then spray painted it a brushed nickel to match the rest of the house.  Here's the dining room chandelier before we did anything.

Here it is with everything removed ready to be masked and then painted

And here's the final version.

I looked up the model number when we were done and found that it's a $2000 chandelier from Swarovski crystal.  YIKES.  If we had known that before, we probably would not have spray painted it.  Oh well, we are very pleased with how it turned out.  Dramatic improvement to the dining room (that still has no furniture).

I'm way behind on this thread (and others) but I love what you did.  I had considered trying to paint a couple of ours but the bottom line is I should just go to the store and pick something new out.  The ones I have are certainly not in the same category as yours.

So a little bit of decadence this afternoon when I stopped for lunch.  It's called a 's'mores milkshake from The Mug Shakes Restaurant

I keep saying I'm going to get back on track with my weight and exercise but so far I've just been one giant catastrophic failure!

Wow!  I'm not a fan of the real s'mores, but this is a work of art.  I'm sure it tasted incredible.

The beach at Cumberland had the firmest sand I have ever been on.  A great, wide beach with quite a few shells.

Thanks for taking us along, this has really piqued my interest in seeing that part of the country.

Graham, you and Pauline always look so nice.  She has such incredible taste.  I could use some help in that department and getting the DH to put on a suit is a struggle.

This was not at all what I envisioned.  When I heard Rustica Pizza , I was thinking just a messy pizza. I do rustic apple tarts fairly often and it means not too fussy.  This certainly was not thrown together!

Having lunch today on the porch, saw this guy walk up and run right into our bird feeder.  Poor old dude is blind in one eye, and apparently didn't see it.  He just laid there for a bit then continued his walk.

So is this the Easter bunny, or some strange new bird?  😉   Guessing he was 12-15 feet long, and at least 400 pounds.  Never a dull moment in the swamp.  😄

OMG X 10.  Do you have to worry about these things being out at night?  Where do they go?

I don't have a foo foo poodle but mine is pretty small.

Sometimes I go without work for days, or even a week or two....,

Early this morning I've got 2 medical articles to go through and adapt to specific journals.

Worked hard through the day, and DH decided to spoil me with my favorite avocado salad 😁

Must be avocado day.  I had avocado toast with fried eggs on it for lunch today.

Sadly, while I love avocado, it doesn’t love me.  About 10 years ago, I developed a severe food sensitivity to us.  Can’t have even a little bite, without feeling like I have food poisoning within half an hour 😞

thank you!

On Friday I received a laundry list of items needed from the finance people. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Been trying to gather all of that and clean the old house all weekend. The only thing left is to mop.

The greatest feeling in the world is closing on a house without having to deal with underwriting BS.

Oh I shouted "holy crap" when I saw it...but that was just to race off and get my camera.  I took a few pics from inside, but the screen made it fuzzy.  So, yeah...I walked outside to take the better shots.  😮

I removed a screen from one of our east windows to take clear sunrise pics.

Ok, maybe Hurricane Matthew removed it, but the effect is the same.😉

The son of a friend of mine graduated from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) recently with a film making degree.  SCAD has done a lot for Savannah.  They've purchased and restored many old buildings in the downtown area and now use them as part of their campus facilities.

They have a campus in midtown Atlanta as well

State of Maryland is still playing around with the vaccine. While we were in line to get my wife's 1st shot there were people of all ages waiting for their shots. I finally got my invite on Friday to get my first shot this Wednesday now today they texted me and cancelled my Wednesday appointment and rescheduled it for this Thursday. Wednesday's are better because no zoom school on Wed. Now both grandkids will miss some school on Thursday (They are very happy).
