Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

Having lunch today on the porch, saw this guy walk up and run right into our bird feeder.  Poor old dude is blind in one eye, and apparently didn't see it.  He just laid there for a bit then continued his walk.

So is this the Easter bunny, or some strange new bird?  😉   Guessing he was 12-15 feet long, and at least 400 pounds.  Never a dull moment in the swamp.  😄

Great photos Pat.

Wow My ears would be ringing forever with Pauline's screams if that was in our back garden.

What is pizza rustica? I have not heard of this. Looks good!

It is an Italian pie made with ricotta, mozzarella, hard boiled eggs, eggs grated cheese and I use prosciutto but you can use sausage or whatever you like.  Great hot or cold!

Easter meal for us was at the historic Pirates House, built in 1753 in Savannah.

At least you didn't have to throw a number at the end of yours. Usually there are 2 or 3 people with similar initials whenever I register on a site that requires a user id so I just automatically use 4.  Which happens to be my lucky number at the roulette table. I should say the casino's lucky number, it rarely hits for me. That's not a complaint, just an observation 🙂

The first several times I saw your name I always thought of HEB the grocery store.

He thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.  He had a busy day with work and friends and family calls for his BD.

We had a very nice dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants.

Ate too much and had a nice bottle of pinot grigio, sure was nice to be out to eat!  I brought home my cannoli, not sure it will make it thru the night.

Happy Belated Birthday to Eric. I’m about 12 pages behind and trying to catch up.

When my daughter-in-law’s parents were here, we took them on a backroads tour of the Amish farms and Amish school house. They had never seen any before, and they were fascinated by them.

A few more sights from Savannah today.

Savannah is one of a few places where you can walk around the streets, carrying your open container.  Maybe that’s why they have these here.

It seemed like too much work, so I just enjoyed my drink walking around River Street.

The have a place called Leopoldo, that is supposed to have the best ice cream. It always has a really long line.

The Old Sorrel-Weed house is supposed to be the most haunted house in Savannah.

Happy Easter. We have two sons. The younger one and his fiancee live in Manhattan. Went to their apartment for brunch. Our older son, wife, and his 2 and almost 4 year old came as well.  Also the parents of his fiancee.

God and pandemic-willing, the wedding will be held in late October of this year. We shall see. Already delayed once.

We had a wonderful time today.

I made one of the Bunny cakes pictured on either this or the Bella thread (further confusion on that topic - ha). I was so proud of myself. Of course I neglected to take a picture of it!

Don't hold your breath but I may actually be getting the vaccine soon in New Jersey. Will let you know.

Best to all.

That would be a very interesting thing to see on the road. Thanks for posting the photo.

This afternoon Mom came over and we shared one of my favorite meals: chicken and dumplins.

I just took her to the nearby lake for a bit while Nate is working on her car

Lots of development going on in Colorado! This lake and the other lake photo you posted both look like they are man-made. (There is nothing wrong with that) But are they building lakes and then putting houses near them?  I am just curious about things in other states.

Tomorrow will be time to leave Savannah and move on.  Wife just told me she hit Platinum Elite with Marriott.  Didn’t realize we logged that many nights in the last year.

So a few final pictures from around Savannah.  They say Jones Street is one of the most photographed.

I love these staircases to houses, and around town.

And, of course, we wandered around the old colonial cemetery and found this marker about duellists.

The staircases are beautiful! But I wouldn't want to carry groceries (or furniture, or stuff)  up them to the house. What a pretty city, and your photos are beautiful. We are enjoying your travels vicariously! :classic_biggrin: Happy Easter. :classic_biggrin:

Appetizer platter, then a 12 lb spiral ham (for 5 adults & a toddler LOL) glazed with apricot preserves, Dijon mustard & spiced rum. We also had mashed potatoes, roasted green beans and a carrot cake for dessert.  I’m ready for bed.
