How long does it take for foil wrapped potatoes on the grill? Gas or charcoal?

We wash and then precook them in the microwave until they are soft. We then brush them butter and sprinkle them with garlic salt. Then warp in foil.  I put them on the gas grill when I light it an I flip them occasionally while the steaks cook.

Same "method" here - softening in the microwave, and then grill gas.

Sometimes, when I'm alone and don't fancy to bother too much, I soften in the microwave, and then give then a nice searing in the small toaster oven. Eat them with sour cream, delicious and quick....

Happy Easter.  This was a display in one of our hotels.

It looks like this white stuff will be gone by the time we get home next week.  Looks like the grandkids had fun though.

Happy Easter to everyone.  We will be having a pork loin roast (in the Traeger) Easter.thumb.jpeg.99fffc459ea2602b1fa4c6a0a174cefc.jpegand scalloped potatoes for dinner.  I was going to make a pie but still have cookies I made and need to finish them first.  I will try to get a picture of the roast before we slice it.

Happy Easter everyone!  Beautiful sunny day here, with an expected high of 66F.

Since we're now on the topic of baked potatoes (I love how this thread evolves), we follow the recipe below.  Takes about an hour in the oven but really tasty results.  I top with shredded cheddar and sour cream.

I love America’s Test Kitchen!  I haven’t seen this one, but I’ll give it a try, with sour cream.

Exactly how I do my potatoes as well.  Yummy!   Indeed quick, and less energy.  I love using my toaster oven instead of heating up the big one for just two potatoes.  😉

A few photos from yesterday in Savannah. With our exploring, it seemed just like a port stop.  It reminded me of our port stop in Charleston.

Thank you for all the beautiful pictures you're posting.

... and, thank you for separating them -- much easier to enjoy !😁

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!!!!!!!

Today is a first ever for us.

Me and the DH are celebrating our first holiday ever.....................alone.

The DD and FSIL, cannot make it for a visit.

And both myself and my DH's family that we have always celebrated with have all passed away.

We have some family members left, but have grown distant to them.  We come together in times of need, and the nephews help us out when needed, but they have their own families.

So not wanting to have a pity party for ourselves, we decided to celebrate mass with our new found church friends at their Catholic Church.  They have recently taken us under their wing, and it really seems like we have been family forever. So we will meet them at 11:30 am. mass.

After mass, we are planning a casual 3-4 mile walk taking time to appreciate what this beautiful sunny day has to offer.

I am thankful for all we have, and look forward to future moments that make lasting memories.

Take care,

Stay healthy.

Easter egg hunt this morning at our house with 2 teenagers.... the eggs had money (1’s and 5’s) in them.  A bit different than when they are younger, but it was still fun to watch them search for the eggs.

I was wondering too 🤔

The governor of Florida is named Ron DeSantis (RD). Joe Biden is the #46 president of the US.

Or, might be, some countries have different rules.... The airline's itineraries are quite restricted for now, for example, they're not flying to Spain....

He did fly to Barcelona, Spain so AA is going there.

Lets get to the important stuff.... Is he doing the trip with a 787?

That’s the only plane he is flying now not unless he decides to train on something different. I highly doubt he will want to change.
