Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

I don’t think they expected this to be more than a quick ER visit, otherwise they would have preferred to have him at Columbia.  Normally his blood pressure would go up for a day or two and then go right back to normal.  This time was different so it seems time for a review of his meds.

Okay all, Charlie has an echocardiogram this morning (still no room!).  If it looks good they are sending him home!!!! He will need to coordinate with Columbia about medication changes.  I guess after getting a new heart 17 years ago changes happen. So far blood pressure is good.  Thank you to everyone for your concern and prayers.  Hope someday to be able to meet as many of you as possible❤️

Hope his echo looks good today and you can get him home!  You are going to have to make him Monday sauce instead of Sunday sauce! 😄

@lenquixote66 Nice to see you back here. Hope you're well and on your way to get the vaccine?

My children signed me up to take the vaccine even though there can be serious side effects (see discussion on the Ask a cruise question board).

I will be taking it at the local hospital on Wednesday. My children feel that if I get the virus I might not survive.

I know over a dozen or more people here who have had both versions with absolutely no side effects. Five of them are family members. At most, a little sore at the injection site.

Somehow I fear that vaccine complications is going to go down the same road as Covid deaths.  Anyone getting seriously ill or dying within days of getting the vaccine is going to be blamed on the vaccine regardless of why they got ill or died

he says thank you!

he’s taking only 1-2 pain pills a day now (against my best judgment) but healing really well! surprisingly well actually.

My wife has been thru several surgeries involving a lot of post op pain.  She wanted to get off pain meds as fast as possible, worried that she would get addicted.  That was a big mistake.  Once she got behind on her meds, she was in pain, couldn't sleep well, etc.  Every medical person we talked to said to take pain meds as prescribed, even if you're feeling better.  Sounds like you already know this and my story wouldn't change Nate's mind. 😁

My advice to you is to listen to your children.

Singinalot, love your new dining room. We’re halfway thru getting ours redone. Still looking for accent rug.  Getting furniture in couple weeks.
Here’s pictures of old and new. Or new and old depends on which one comes out first. The carpet one is old.

There is one post on another board back in early December. The OP seems to be totally against the vaccine indicating several people have had huge reactions. I wasn’t sure the vaccine was even rolled out back then. I think he was trying to convince himself not to take it and make others scared of the vaccine. Fire!!!

IMHO...more people have a much bigger chance of getting into a serious car accident on the way to get the vaccine, than the chance of serious side affects from the vaccine...but that's just me.  Ohh.. AND advice from my sister, who is doctor...specialist... infectious disease doctor
