I just watched BD DU.   Chef Ryan is such a baby and so annoying.   I hope he gets replaced although preview looks interesting Aesha is crying i hope she isnt the one getting fired.

I can't think of anything Aesha has done so far that would get her fired. I agree, I hope it is not her. I wonder if Jason knows how the bosun is talking about him to the deck team? There is a chef standing by but maybe that storyline is to throw us all of track.

I find it interesting to hear all the things you are thinking as you watch this season as I have already seen it on the Peacock app. What's interesting is that I thought all the same things that you are now thinking.

Thank you to everyone who took time to comment of the loss of my dear friend and coworker Len Dawson. I just got through watching the hour long special my team at KMBC-TV put together for him. Many of pieces were pieces that I edited a couple of years ago when Lenny retired from KMBC-TV. I said to my boss at the time, we need to save these because some day Len will pass and we will need them for a tribute. I dreaded the day I would see those pieces again but now I'm glad I saw them. To remind me and to those that watched what a great man he was.

IMG_8467.thumb.jpeg.f91e434e48f1f09fd59c597337be2fca.jpeg

One of the things Len taught me was about fine dining and good french cognac. I was blessed to eat in many 5 star restaurants all over the US with him. He bought me my first glass of Cognac and taught me that it's to be slightly warmed by the cupping of your hand under the glass and gently sipped. We had many glasses over the years and laughed and told many stories. Thank you for the memories and the imprint that you left on my soul.

Cheers, Leonard Ray Dawson.

Your comment about his mink coat made me smile. 😀 It was always such a thing back then with ex-football players like Joe Namath. I'm sorry that he was your dear friend and that you have lost him.

It is harder getting old. Three of my close co-workers have passed away this year. One of them had a heart attack and was found near the pool area at a resort in Hawaii, while on vacation with his wife. Just two weeks ago. They weren't famous or anything, but the loss is just as sad.

I know Patti it is hard as we get older. Losing our closest of closest. That's horrible about your friend at a resort in Hawaii I'm so sorry. I must say when I go I hope it's on a cruise ship.

In my previous upload, I posted just MDR food. Tonight will be buffet food.

For our sailing, Princess still has not brought back self served buffet.  Any hot food items will be distributed by the staff.  Just point and they will serve.

You help yourself on the self served items like pre made juices and desserts but you are not allowed to be at the coffee/water area to pour your own drinks.  You just request all your buffet drinks with the servers.

Most food is served by workers only

20220811_141303.thumb.jpg.7926a2b0fbcf8bbe96f809c38bec8535.jpg

Note all the serving utensils are pointed away from the passengers so only the workers can serve you.

20220806_125858.thumb.jpg.62a4e78a33cb4c05c6d12470c737ea95.jpg

But self served on premade cups

Hi Greg.

Living in England I was not fortunate to see yourself or Len on TV.

Len sounds like he was an amazing man who deserves all the accolades and sentiments you have posted.

You both have been blessed to be such good friends with mutual respect for each other.

Pauline and I send you our deepest condolences for the loss of your good friend and a genuinely good man.

Too funny, we may have unknowingly crossed paths yesterday Bob!  We got there a little before 2:30 and sat upstairs with this beautiful view.  It would be even funnier if you know them but I agree about sharing their names.  If you ever meet a couple in their late 60’s, early 70’s who split their time between Amelia and the suburbs of Philly, and have a RI connection you may be on to something, lol. 79F04B9B-890C-4122-92A9-DA566E1A1FCD.thumb.jpeg.2a2a46c329456e9e08a202b0569d5c91.jpeg

That's definitely our club.  I was downstairs in the air conditioning after a hot day on the golf course.  Late 60s/early 70s who split time with some place up north sounds like about 50% of the club.  🤣

Thank you all so much for your love and support. While I do not want any sympathy towards me I just wanted to pay tribute to someone I was very close to and was an incredible human being. Again thank you to all who took the time to post.

And yes Bob that is one of videos that included me (I'm the one in my music studio) talking about Len. I hated doing it because it took me about 20 takes because I was getting too emotional. I'm way better behind the camera than in front.

Here are some of the pieces that produced and edited about Len that were first used when he retired from broadcast television. I knew then that they could be used for his obit.

Enjoy these video about Lenny.

I'd Be happy too.  I'm currently on my laptop, so it will be later when I'm on my phone.  If a group called The Las Vegas Tenors is performing, I highly recommend them.  They were so good during the 8:00 show, I went back for the 10:00.

I have seen them on various ships and I agree! They were really good.

Seven negatives!  Thank goodness, my nerves are shot😳This was one thing the city of New York did right.  Free Covid testing with printout.  Nice air conditioned van. Under an hour all seven of us were done. It would have been quicker but we had to set up accounts.  Now I am off to the dentist.
