Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

We are back from our Indy cruise with the two grandsons.  I have to say it was an excellent cruise although verrry different than the relaxing ones we’re used to.  It was go, go, go with them and these three nights coming up at the Polynesian are well deserved by us!
We had a car service (GearFusion) pick us up at the port this morning.  The driver made two drop stops, one at Coronado Springs Resort to drop the boys with their Mom, then on to Polynesian to drop us off.  If anyone wants info on this car service, just ask, I highly recommend them.
As I said in an earlier post Indy was great.  A couple of sourpuss pool bartenders and our room steward was just ok.  But so many friendly, smiling faces among the crew.  Food in both the MDR and Windjammer was very, very good.  We also had a fantastic waiter, the same one all three nights, who just doted on the boys.
They loved CocoCay, the ice show, unlimited snacks at Cafe Promenade, Sorrento’s and Fish & Ships.  Splashaway Bay was a big hit but their favorite was unlimited rides on the Flowrider.
I’ll also say Nassau has come quite a way since our last visit.  We just walked Bay Street, then over to the area with the new Margaritaville and we used the beach in front of the resort for a quick swim for the two boys.
We had two side by side balcony cabins on deck 8. Not connecting but we opened the divider between the two and could easily go back & forth. Andrew & I shared one cabin with Will & Andy in the other. I was quite fanatical about not letting them stay in the balcony without one of us there too. They’re 12 & 10 and good kids, but….boys will be boys.  A few pictures below.
Time for some R & R, before the rest of the family arrives and we move over to OKW.

Love the pictures! You all look great The boys look thoroughly enjoyed and vacationed. We are doing the 4 night in September.Same ports.

I read York as New York and I was trying to figure out how I missed this after all these years.😊

The York Minster is a great place to visit.  If you're able to handle a lot of stairs, I recommend going up to the roof.  There's also a fantastic set of roman ruins under the Minster.

Izumi.............What's the difference for the Lunch Menu to the Dinner Menu..............The Price is the same for each per person. Am I wrong to think the portions will be the same no matter when we go?

Is the Menu the same across the fleet? We will be on Jewel if it matters?

Anyone have pictures of their favorite selections there?

We had tickets to The Van Gogh Museum.  The museum contains the largest collection of Van Gogh’s paintings and drawings in the world.  We spent about 4 1/2 hours here.  I really wanted to see The Starry Night painting but I found out that it is in the Museum of Fine Arts in New York City.

These are just a few of Van Gogh’s paintings in the last weeks of his life.  He was painting one painting a day.  He died July 29, 1890.

My phone’s battery 🪫 died after the library photo so I could not take any more pictures.  Glad I got the library though.

I was so tired.  Merv was started to really bother me so we just blitzed it and went through the galleries real fast.  Didn’t stop to read anything.

I forgot these guys yesterday.  They didn’t want to get left out.  So here they are.  More duckies.

Happy Birthday wishes to your granddaughter, Lenny.  I'm sorry to hear that she broke a wrist while playing Tennis.  I do hope she's not hurting too badly.

What a great and memorable experience for both the boys, as well as for you and Andy.  Great pictures, two of the best are of Andy on the balcony with one of the boys, and, winner, winner, chicken dinner, is this last one of you and the boys.  Did you get a frame for it yet??

Enjoy your alone time at the Polynesian with Andy, and have the best time with your daughters and grandchildren in the days following.  🥰

@FromSea2ShiningSea  Sorry to hear that "Merve" began acting up again, Helen.  Hopefully with a good nights rest, you'll be back in good shape for the next days adventure.  Thank you for more of your beautiful pictures.  I saw many Van Gogh's pictures years ago in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.  Awesome!

We went to the Rijksmusesum 4 years ago.  We spent an entire afternoon there and didn’t see it all.  I enjoyed some of the smaller rooms with collections as much as the famous paintings.
