Echoing these questions with more.  Was the antigen test at CVS the one people got who used the CVS minute clinic?  If not, which test did you take? Also most posters said it was at no charge.   Did CVS bill your insurance?  Are any of you on medicare and did they accept you without cost?  And did they ask for insurance or did you note no insurance?  And did you only check, the first box about needing it for travel and no on the other answers?  Then the most important....are you on the ship now and did they accept your documentation?  If anyone would post what the CVS results look like (delete your name and dob) it would be helpful to see what Princess accepts.

Thanks.

Sorry I'm late to the party.

Minute clinic r rapid antigen test was fine.

Daughter's family took PCR test Fri afternoon. Results came in on Monday.

In panic, we found Carbon Health on 220 6th Ave ( near Space Needle). They want an appointment, but we called and they squeezed us in.

All of us are on the ship and happy.

Sunrise this morning is SPECTACULAR

Nope. Sorry to inform you that it is definitely not the case for our table of 6 anyway. Also someone asked about preferred dining speed. Ignored. Also Jerry kept confirming our groups reservation and it kept losing tonight's. I can't get any reservation. Allergies ignored so far but I'm fine with fruit, cheese, and baked potato with raw veggies for lunch.(Vegetarian) Vegan selections available at IC.

Hollywood Conservatory is gorgeous!!

Per Hotel GM: Ship is sailing at 75% capacity & staff is tested on a schedule. Room stewards more often than most, wait staff the most frequently.

We have 7:00pm booked each night in the Concerto and when we asked the first night about having the same table and waitstaff each night, we were told that currently the DMW doesn’t allow them to do that. The dinner and service has been good both nights, but we have had different tables and waitstaff.

Yesterday's Meet & Greet. New captain came on Sunday and he graciously came up a little later as he was understandably quite busy

Seeing a lack of masks in this picture so wondering if some venues do not require masks indoors and if so which ones ?

If that's how it is, then that's how it is. Not my first choice, but it's not a deal breaker for us. If we had dietary constraints, then I'm sure that would be more of a problem than being able to stick with one set of waitstaff.

We were on the first sailing and found a waiter that we fell in love with on day 3 .... we changed all our reservations via the app to the Concerto and asked if we could be seated at his table every night.  They seemed to know we were on time people and the table for two was always available in his section every night.  We made our reservations for 6:20 PM figuring that would be enough time to work through the first set of guests that sat in his section.  The only day there was another table open in his section was the day we were in Juneau late.  I'm sure we were able to get his table every night because we were at 60% capacity ... otherwise, it may not have worked out so well.

Good to know. I booked our 8/29 cruise when dining time and table preference was still in personalizer. I chose early traditional and table for two. If I look at our reservations in the app, it has us in Concerto every night at 5:00 at a table for two. Since it's 5:00, I think that might make it more likely we can keep the same serving staff, since the tables will all start out empty at that point. Or so I think.

If you like your serving team, I'm sure it will be possible to request them for every night, especially at 5:00 PM.  Just speak with the hostess or one of the captains.  They will make it happen.  That's exactly one of the reasons we consistently chose the 6:20 PM dining.  Well, that and we like to hit the shows or activities in Princess Live at 8:15 PM and onto the show at 9:15 PM in the Princess Theater.  The timing was just so perfect.

BTW, on the Majestic, that great waiter's name was Raul in the Concerto and he had tables for 2 available.  He was awesome ... tell him the guy with the Santa beard and his wife say hi ... if you are lucky enough to get him as a waiter.

I have untraditional dietary constraints and was on the August 1st sailing.  They assigned us to the Allegro dining room each night at the same table with the head waiter so I had consistency for my evening meal.  We loved our table with a window view which was also nice, and it worked smoothly.  I liked the consistency.  I learned I had to have them scan my medallion for them to know our table, and I just started telling them my table number so they let us find it ourselves.  We ate at 5 pm (except in Juneau), so there was a line up of crew each with a paper table map waiting for the scanning person to tell them which table to take people to.

For lunch we were told to go to Concerto.  We had no reservations and had different waitstaff every meal.  My lunch had been put in my record the evening before (created lunch and dinner menus the night before every day), and as expected, some days were smoother than others.  The last lunch menu was a bit more diverse than others and I had a waiter that couldn't find my order in my record.  He came to me 3-4 times trying to figure out what to do with me, and I insisted it was in there.  He finally said his manager would come talk to me, but presumably his manager found my menu and we quickly had our salads.  (I hope this manager showed the waiter how to find it to be prepared for others like me.)  So other than a short delay and frustrating this particular waiter, it went smoothly because I knew they were entering an appropriate menu and trusted the MD I used to put it in terms the chef would understand.

Do you realize I typed that 6 times!! 6!! Somehow it won't let us post. 🤯.

I'll be in Juneau in a few hours and will try to answer questions.

Shows, music wonderful. Have only seen a hand full not masking up

No one is checking to see if a reservation was made. Per brass at M&G it is being used to gauge interest & can show up even if it states "sold out."

Ordered Key Lime Pie on the app and it kept canceling my order as they couldn't find me. Finally he showed up with a drink from the bar but I ordered pudding. Had a good laugh with him over that. Then I got what I ordered.

For those trading minibar:

> for coffee it was almost immediately

> for all soda, tablemate said by supper

Doors to Casino are kept closed.

Only swag for slot pull was 3 tshirts. Anne apologized for not having more but honestly I thought that was great!! Love the casino

Stores are a definite upgrade from all other Royal class ships that I've been on. No Chicos but plenty of other stuff that could easily be worn on land  (I don't wear logos)

My balcony is enormous. Its got a bump out. Really notice that the room is 12' smaller. End of bed of awfully close to the wall.

Lastly: find a cruiser isn't working for me. I have linked my booking with tablemates & PVP (who is on this voyage). It keeps trying to find my granddaughters who will be on my April 2022 voyage.

6:40am now -> off to IC

See this message from CC.

For a few hours on Monday we experienced issues with our database which limited/denied access to our boards.  The boards have been restored, however our search has to be re-indexed.  In short, search results will be inaccurate for a bit of time.  Newer posts/threads/images will be restored to search quicker, however it will take longer to restore the oldest content back to our search results.

We have certain features that utilize search that will be effected by this.   This includes features like:  Search, Roll Call Finder, See Posts About (Ships etc), Activity Feeds, and activity shown on your profile page

We expect this to take course over the next few days until the search results are back to 100% accuracy

We thank you for your patience

So true, I thought everyone had to be masked.  Good catch on your part.  I looked at the picture and didn't even notice.

Just to clarify - you used the Reserve Same Time Each Day option and not Review/Book Individual Days?  IOW, you did not make any individual night reservations?

Slot Pull FYI:

I entered the 380 on my room account yesterday, 19 played (12 no shows), withdrew 222. So my account is now blocked for withdrawing too fast.

wonder why the other posts about princess not enforcing the mask policy are not on here that I got emails about...this is something I would like to know and see the rest of the post as to what is actually taking place on the ship since princess put these new protocols out.

That was happening to me all last week too when I tried to post from the ship.  Sometimes the editor would keep my text, sometimes I had to retype everything.  Very frustrating!  So for those who are complaining that there aren't enough folks on the cruise responding, they may be trying and failing.  Ombud, have a wonderful time aboard the Majestic.  I really miss being on the ship...

Thank you for posting this information.  I called CVS this morning to ask the same question.  Her response was surprising.  She suggested that I get the rapid NAAT test rather than the rapid antigen test for travel.  Glad you verified both are okay (but still planning on getting rapid NAAT/PCR test).

Glad Carbon Health could squeeze your daughter's family in.  How many?  Didn't the ship sail on Sunday?

For those asking about masks. You have to wear them while walking around, in the casino, retail stores, while getting food in the buffet, while waiting in line to be seated in a dining room or restaurant, in line at the IC, at the customer service desk, shore excursions desk and while seated in the Princess Theater, Princess Live etc and maybe a couple of other instances that I’m not aware of. If you are seated, eating or drinking in most other locations we have found that you do not need to wear them.

@Ombudthat is the exact same error message many of us on the first sailing kept getting. Which is why so few posted. This is what I wrote in my post cruise survey. The problem has nothing to do with CC website issues. Also what I did that helped with the frustration was to type comments into my notepad. Then copy and paste if I was lucky enough to get into CC

“I don’t even know where to begin with the internet and how bad it was.  From it simply not working, to constantly dropping me, to the directions in my stateroom being wrong for getting connected, to being blocked from posting on the Cruise Critic website because I’m getting SSL Certificate mismatch warnings that don’t allow me to proceed. The entire internet usage experience was just really horrible.”

@sfkaren  you mentioned there were no UBD this cruise.  Can you clarify if you had already pre-booked and they cancelled you or if you were attempting to book on the ship?    If you prebooked, did they give you the complementary specialty dining?  Thank you so much.
